US wants Pakistan to keep Afghan border open for DPs

The new programme, announced on Monday, applies to those who worked on US-funded projects and to Afghans employed by a US-based media or non-governmental organisation (NGO).

This is the most eye opening part of all. They want people who were involved in "projects" and "NGO's" to move to Pakistan in order for them to then be given asylum in the US.
Just what were they involved in? What about links to terrorist orgs such as BLA, TTP etc, were there any dealings with them?
I can imagine what would happen when they get to the US, they will then form groups to lobby against Pakistan.

They must either take Pakistan for being gullible or they are really stupid beyond belief. I think it's the latter.
So far we have had the following requests;
Please give us a drone base. Answer NO.
CIA director arrives in Pakistan and asks for a meeting with Bajwa and ISI chief. Answer subtle, he didn't even bring it up as he was scared of the response.
Secretary of State calls and asks for PM Khan. Answer told that he'll talk when Biden calls.
Now please take our friends in Afghanistan, when we have denied helicopter engines to you, put you on the watchlist for child soldiers, have you on the FATF grey list.

Oh let's not also forget the gem of asking Central Asian states for bases after Biden called Putin a cold blooded murderer.

Agree - but you have to admit that alot of this is Pakistan's own doing as it created the actual reality of where they ask "how high" when the Americans say - "jump".

Of course, that has now changed with the current goverment in Pakistan, but the USA has yet to fully adapt to this new reality and it will take them time to come around.

The answer to hosting any new afghans, no matter how small the number should be a flat "no". Pakistan should clearly, each time, remind the Americans that Pakistan is hosting over 3million Afghan refugees it wants to return to a stable afghanistan in response to propaganda that "it is stirring things up" when of course it is not.
