Gulen is the teacher,Erdogan the student.
Gulen doesnt do politics,he had Erdogan for that.
Now Gulen will support Erdogans political enemies.

Yes, unfortunately two Islamist giants duking it out is like the Secularist "dreams come true".

No wonder the Zionists and Secularist are dancing in the Streets.... :cheesy:

It's called "beddua" which means "bad prayer / curse". As far as i know it forbidden in Islam ( not very sure about it)

For Turkish part, he is cursing on governement officials if they done something that will hurt Turkish people. Saying stuff like "May fire take their houses, may their allegiance dismantle, may they can be nothing" Then he passes on to Arabic which i can't follow.

He seems....upset .

Do you wanna somehow imply zionist and secular are the same or what?

He seems....upset .

Mate, too me it's a bit scary.... I have never seen such an intense cursing in my life.

How can i say. Let me give you 2 examples.

Example a: Terrorists cursing.... we won't mind them.
Example b: A mother's curse who lost his child to terrorists...

Look at Fethullah's mimics, he's not angry. It is like, he's begging to Allah (swt), which makes it scary...

Anyways cursing is wrong.

You are looking at it from a wrong angle.
secularist doesnt mean what you think it means.
90% of seculars are muslim.

Thank you for the Clarification. I thought that a large number of Turkish people were Islamist and that is how Erdogan won Election. I think Islamist and Secularist are not the same people , or are they ?

No, I never said that. However, sometimes their interests and objectives can coincide , Yes ?

Seems like Westeners have a big interest in weakening Erdogan...The US is clearly working with Gülen.

Let me put it this way,
In one familly you have a secularist, islamist, communist, socialist.
Turkey was allways like that and will allways stay like that.
Many seculars vote for Erdogan and many Islamist vote for CHP(socialist party)or MHP(nationalist party).
The definition of secular in Turkey is different from all other countries as is the definition of Islamist in Turkey.
Our Islamists do not want the country to turn into a sharia law country.
Our seculars do not want the country to lose the Islamic identity.
So what i'm trying to say is that its complicated.
I am a secular muslim Turk, for me religion has no role in politics.
Erdogan won only because many seculars voted for him(economy doing well).

I think it's wrong to seperate Turkish people as Islamist and Secularist.

%99 of the Turkish people will not accept Sharia.

%99 of the Turkish people are muslims.

Secularism is the seperation of religion and state affairs.

And Mustafa Kemal Ataturk long before explained what an Islamist is....

He is a weak ruler who needs religion to uphold his government; it is as if he would catch his people in a trap. My people are going to learn the principles of democracy, the dictates of truth and the teachings of science. Superstition must go. Let them worship as they will; every man can follow his own conscience, provided it does not interfere with sane reason or bid him against the liberty of his fellow-men.

@Solomon2 you do know that the recent arrests are the handy work of much more extremist Islamist group. Right?
No, I did not. Turkish affairs, I've concluded, aren't my strong point and probably never will be. I posted the article because it was of general interest.

I have been following this when the news brokeout about recent arrests in Turkey.

It looks like an Islamist settled in USA is pulling the anti-Erdogan strings.

Strange how Mullahs use US/UK to promote Islamism in countries from Middle East to Asia.

I wish there was some kind of control of these Islamists.

I only wish.

Seems like Westeners have a big interest in weakening Erdogan...The US is clearly working with Gülen.

Could be.

Or Gulen is abusing the open and secular laws/culture of the US.

Hate to mention any other country here.

But so many of our leaders stay in the West, enjoy the open society and liberal and secular laws.

But then they come home and chain us in religious mumbo jumbo.

Imam Khomeni enjoyed secular West for years.

But did not learn a thing about open societies.

As soon as he got back to Iran, he implemented stone age Sharia.
hope you understand.

So back to Turkey now.

Over the past thirty years, while the United States has turned either a blind or dismissive eye, Iran has emerged as a nation every bit as capable of altering America’s destiny as traditional superpowers Russia and China. Indeed, one of this book’s central arguments is that, in some ways, Iran’s grip on America’s future is even tighter.

That's just awesome, don't you think so???
