Takrar SSGN Special

On paper yes, i have talked to both SSGs (various units) and SEALs during the paper i was writing. The sense i get is that SSG's training is easier than SSGN because the later goes through rough water proofing and sea borne operations. However the SSG would still be ranked on the top because of its solid warfare experience. The SSG at one point in time did have SEAL units fighting with it in operations but that seems to have stopped. Now SEAL units which are also trained in CT/CQB etc are busy conducting IBOs.

I would disagree. Apart from Zarrar(who have the advantage of having dedicated equipment and training) company the rest of the SSG is perhaps inferior to the training for SSGN.

The presenter Fu**ed up the show with his stupidity. I wish everyone else except Wajahat are banned from doing these shows.

Pakistani media needs to have trained defence experts.
Also do you have video of Wajahat Khan program ? on PAF

your last point is beyond possibility if you mean in an indo-pak setting, the problem with the SSG is there 2 brave for there own good, there comanding officers send them off to die, and i use the tirah valley op in 2013 as evidence, they dont care if it takes 10 lives to achieve an objective, the primary objective would be to destroy the radar station and take out as many indians before you get shot, forget getting bk to a rallying point or extraction zone, its basically a 1 way ticket. In a western country if some of those missions were carried out in a similar fashion the news channels would talking about it to this day e.g. black hawk down. and the comanding officers would be court Marshalled.
lets not confuse the indians for an arab army, even a NATO country would struggle to achieve that task, if were dealing with third world countries like uganda, myarmar and iraq(bravo 2 zero) its very possible, but in pakistans case its dealing with a third world nation with a 1st world army imo.

The "taking casualities and getting the job done" is an old philosophy" that the SSG has thrown into the bin... Couple of years back I met this SSG party that was sent to "collect" volunteers from a certain FF regiment .... The SSG guys thought the same way .. "Take as many with you as you can and you can die "... But these are the things of the past!

As for your rants about SSG getting trained by US private contractors .. No boy... That was FC and its SOG... The U.S. guys were later sent back and the SSG trained them.

..

As for SSG,SSGN... Sure the SSGN get like twice the trainin a compared to SSG .. The SSGN guys train at Cherat and than again they go to PNS Iqbal for further training .... But the fact of the matter is that SSG has more experience as compared to SSGN (Who are mostly performing anti privacy operations, protection duties or some limited CT ops)... SSG has been conducting (Continuously) operations since years now .. I'd rank the average battle hardened SSG operator over a SEAL any day!

But what about areas like Siachin ? Or temperature close to - 50 C ?

Are they going to be better carrying out a sabotage operation against a Radar installation and then fighting their way back?

NO.

You are saying this about SSG right? you suggesting SSGN will be better at this one operation?

About SSG, Zarar is one company as you know. Yes they are trained with primary focus on CT and CQB, with the terrorists/insurgents in mind. They are equipped for the same as you confirm as well. However, they are just one company.

I guess that is the reason of company level distributions, you can train all the group for one thing, make them brilliant fighters and then you further improve there handling of different situations at a company level. Our biggest threat today is from with in, from the terrorists so Zarra company is the one we get to hear about the most. There will be groups trained for infiltration and sabotage. We do have some experience of that as well, lets not get into those details.

About SSGN, there training is much tougher. The undergo the same training as the SSG and then go in for another round with the navy, so on paper it sure is a lot more tougher and rigorous. The SSG however have more battle experience and they get more chances for actual action so that also improve there skill. Practically, i think SSG and SSGN are on par with various units/companies better trained, better equipped and better suited for various roles.

I have seen many SSG operators with a diver badge. What significance that kind of training holds for SSG i mean isn't this SSGN's domain?

That's Musa Company of SSG. If I'm not wrong, before SSGN was established, it was Musa company who took care of Marine operations along with Navy assault battalions. Then SSGN happened.

Musa company is mostly retained for fighting in rivers, streams, lakes of Kashmir while SSGN is wholly dedicated towards Sea borne operations

i stand behind my statement,
the tirah operation back in 2013, lal masjid op and the siachen incidents they were still using the old philosophy, the SSG operators themselves are highly skilled commandos up there with the very best, the commanding officers are the biggest culprits, they don't care how many die as long as they get the jiob done, i remember reading on here, that back in 2013 in tirah valley, the SSG were air dropped in front of enemy positions and they were wiped clean, yet the people who sent them to there death walk away and sit in conference rooms and dont care about the blood they have on there hands.

You are lying. I still remember the whole discussion. They were not air dropped. They were trapped while clearing an area.

@DESERT FIGHTER he likes to mix truth and lie. While if you remember The news did ran a story, I think it was Amir Mir, who disclosed Pakistani employee of American embassy picked up in the killings of two Pakistan army brigadiers ? Back in the day when Our brigadiers were being targeted killed in Islamabad ? I think it was 2007.

It was mentioned in that article, American embassy hiring retired Siphai, JCO and NCO's of SSG for Diplomatic security staff and for doing side jobs of providing security to black ops team as well conduct black ops on their behalf.

There it was mentioned about the training bit how americans training improved their skills, which werent being taught in SSG curriculum to Jawans and it was way back in 2007-2008

Looking at your posts & History (with the fake ids b stuff) and all the nonsense I'm not surprised to see you lying ...

Yes and No. The SSGN also rotates for CT ops. Both on ships, against piracy and otherwise as well.
And considering the spate of attacks in Karachi; it was the SSGN on the scene first going after them. By the time Zarrar company was airlifted there, they had finished up most of the targets.

How much SSGN is trained for areas like Siachin ?
