For several years I am noticing one thing. Our media and its coverage of Pakistan is limited to Punjab and Sindh and even in Sindh mostly Karachi. I am not just talking about negative things. In all type of cases whether terrorist attacks or some positive development. Or doing some fun programs there. They are all limited to Punjab and Karachi mainly and to some extent Sindh. KPK and Baluchistan doesn't feel part of Pakistan if you look at our media. This may sound harsh but this is the reality. We need to change that. During PTV times at least from every center there used to be Dramas which used to come. Now even our showbiz industry is limited to Karachi and in few cases Lahore. We need to change that and by doing that we can fight PTM and Baluch separatists narrative on media front. And bring these two provinces into mainstream and raise their issues and also positive things about them.

Absolutely agree with you.

Specially in case of Baluchistan.

You are talking about Private media , who are more interested in Profits and politics then National Unity . wording of the thread should have been decent as today is Independence day .

PAMERA can make it compulsory to add public/environmental awareness messages, and regional language programs.

Tune your most channels after 11 at night, you will find comedy shows in 1 provincial language only.

What is there to cover ?...KPK and Balochistan are barren wastelands except few sane areas. Even Sindh is nothing special except Khi and Hyderabad.

How can any one cover anything when you get shot for being of different ethnicity or speak different language ? What good news can you cover when the places are ruled by regressive and backward sardars and jirga leaders who won't stop yapping about their fake pride and martial race beliefs and how other races are indic/subhuman/converts ? How can one progress if they won't even come out of their self-perceived victimhood ?

Balochistan and KPK are the two most xenophobic places in entire Pakistan. Even Sindh is not that far behind but unlike these two provinces , there is a force to counter them and create an oasis which was much needed.

And btw , unlike what you projecting , most of BLA fighters and leaders are "educated" and come from universities in many different parts of the country.

KPK is the feeding source of many terrorists groups which are exclusively made of single ethnicity. That ethnicity that has caused much damage(financial and otherwise) to this country.

Thanks to punjab and punjabis who unlike other provinces don't really exhibit the rampant ethnic chauvinism displayed by both of these provinces. If it hasn't been for punjabis and the pockets of migrants that came during 1947 that had put Pakistan first.. The GDP of Pakistan would have been comparable to countries in Africa.
71 says otherwise
You are right. I knew someone wise as you will finally say these things and state the facts.
Yup, that is literally what racists do - wash themselves with milk and pretend they are the victims.

71 was a test case.
When you let the perceived victimhood get out of control , you get 1971. Besides 1971 is exactly the reason why these so called ethnic separatists have become emboldened. Every one of them get their inspiration from that event. They should have given bengalis an exemplary punishment to make sure no such idiot in future will dare challenge the state.

Fall of Dhaka give birth to the current situation.

At least Indians for all intents and purposes did what was necessary in-order to keep their geographical integrity and sovereignty intact. Didn't spare sikhs and muslims when they tried to get ambitious.

In other words , you are brought up as a genocidal racist. Good to know

Tribalism is the cause of backwardness in Baluchistan, they are not very different from those who used to say hathiyaar humara zewar hai, but when TTP comes knocking all that zewar was surrendered.

Bro be thankful that you are safe from filth of presstitutes, only bad things occasionally appear on media from KPK and Balochistan when it suits their narrative . Karachi absolutely hate glorifying of PPP in karachi, and laundry service of mian's poop in Punjab. Media has become an advertisement agency in Pakistan run on haram mal and cater to narratives either by American embassy or corrupt dynasties.

Private media corporations are largely based in Lahore and Karachi and will tend to cater large population regions, it's the same for most countries. US mainstream media will hardly cover the midwest for example. Being private businesses, their priority is profit, they don't care whether or not other regions feel excluded.

PTV is government controlled and hence historically more inclusive in coverage.

It's very odd that you people who are not even native to this country try so obsessively hard to divide our ethnic groups who have been living together for a millennia just to mask their insecurities and then try to drag in Punjabis along with them for some legitimacy when that has never worked in real life, the last time this was attempted, you people were rebuked by the Punjabi Pakhtoon Itehad party.
