India is hosting this event not for the first time. Pakistan will get as much of a security as any other team here would get. Your plea of special attention would not even be considered.

By the way even PCB knows their players are more safe in india that pakistan. May be PCB is worried because pakistan govt has alerted india that 10 terrorists have entered india from pakistan. So basically PCB is wanting security from your own 10 guys.

Pakistan wants India match shifted out of Dharamsala


Pakistan have asked the ICC for a change of location for their World T20 match against India, scheduled to be held in Dharamsala on March 19, after receiving a report from its three-man delegation that 'security is not assured' at the venue. ESPNcricinfo has learned that the report was handed over to the board and Pakistan's federal interior minister, Chaudary Nisar, after which it was decided that the Pakistan team would not travel to India on Wednesday as scheduled.



The PCB had, earlier on Tuesday, written to the ICC chief executive David Richardson asking to consider an alternative venue for the marquee match on March 19. It is understood to have proposed Kolkata or Mohali as a replacement for Dharamsala.



A senior BCCI official said the Indian board was made aware of the fact that the PCB had informed the ICC about not being "keen on playing" in Dharamsala but appeared confident the match could still be moved to an alternate venue.



"They have not conveyed it (not playing in Dharamsala) to ICC as a decision, but as a suggestion," the official told ESPNcricnfo. According to him the two back-up venues could be Bangalore and Kolkata. "Mohali is already hosting two (Pakistan) matches. Kolkata already has one match. Delhi, we all know the issues there (the Delhi & District Cricket Association struggling to get various clearances to host matches)."



The official reckoned the ICC and BCCI would have to take a "final" call by Wednesday keeping in mind the Pakistan men's team is scheduled to land in India for the tournament that day.



The Pakistani delegation, headed by FIA director Usman Anwar, PCB security and anti-corruption head Azam Khan, and Pakistan's Deputy High Commissioner in India, are believed to have remained unconvinced by the arrangements and with the security protocols. It is believed that most of the Indian officials they were coordinating with were relatively junior in rank.

The Pakistan government had initially granted the PCB permission for its team to play in India, but the board decided to put the visit on hold until they were guaranteed foolproof security. The PCB's move was prompted after the Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh had expressed concerns over security for the India-Pakistan match in Dharamsala.

New Delhi: The ongoing saga of the ICC World Twenty20 match to be held in Dharamsala on March 19 between India and Pakistan is taking a long route of uncertainity. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Shahryar Khan said that conflicting signals originating from India over Dharamshala have forced them to seek a change in location for the mega battle.
On Tuesday the BCCI confirmed that Dharamsala T20I will go on as scheduled, before reports emerged that Pakistan government has put the clearance on hold of the team to go to India.
According to a report in the Times of India, the PCB has sent a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday citing to shift the match from Dharamsala.

"I have sent an email to the ICC that if Dharamshala has a problem hosting Pakistan-India World T20 game, the match should be played either in Mohali or Kolkata. The Pakistan board is also open to the idea of playing it elsewhere as long as the safety and security of the Pakistani cricketers is taken care of,” said Khan.
Several reports made the rounds late on Tuesday that, Pakistani security team had advised the cricket squad not to travel to Dharamshala and therefore the trip to Kolkata on Wednesday may be delayed by another day.

PCB chief said told Times of India that, "The Himachal CM has not committed full security for the match and the Indian government has also not come up with any reassuring statement so far," Khan said.

He added that they haven't got any security arrangement details from the government of India and that they need to be told about the protesting force of Shiv Sena.
"Under the circumstances, how can we allow our team to play there? Our real problem is that we haven't got any security arrangement details from the government of India. We are still waiting to hear from them officially. We at least need to be told about the position of the protestors in Dharamashala or about Shiv Sena's threat," Khan said.



The final call will be takenm after the PCB speaks to the Pak government.

Reports also suggest that the PCB wants the match to be held in either Kolkata or Mohali as it would also be beneficial to them.

Concerns are not hilarious but based on track record jest to update your knowledge 3 years back wining Pakistani blind cricket team's captain served acid for which he was hospitalized.

Just imagine Mohammad Amir in his first over make the hat-trick and Pakistani bowlers bowled out full Indian team on lowest score what will be the reaction from crowed only 100 or 200 policemen enough to handle crowed of 20000 or more and what about the Pakistani supporters sitting just side by side.

First of all pakistan beating india in world cup is just a wet dream. So at least you dont have to worry about your players security if they are gonna win, coz that is not going to happen. lol

Second, pakistani players security is already guaranteed by the indian govt, we are hosting the event, its our responsibility for the safety of all the teams {not just pakistan}. Now if you wanna come or stay back in pakistan, choice is yours, no body is going to force you to come to india to play if you dont want to.

Third, pakistani public coming to india to watch matches, should use there common sense while they are in india and obey all the rules of india and they will be safe an fine. Anyone acting smart, nobody is going to guarantee the security to such fools, they are on their own.

The main cricketing nations don't feel safe in Pakistan and they made a stand not to play in Pak..zero drama.. Zero fuss. It's not possible to change venues when the tournment has already started.. Time to end the drama now..
