He did make a few mistakes, though certainly better than the helicopter crap from samaa.

Remington M24, I believe. 700 is a civilian legal hunting model.
Not much difference between the two as far as ballistics go. Stock and other furniture is a tad different.
The other rifle appears to be an AI, not Remington.
