Not really dude, Farangi is a staple term for a British citizen from the colonial times, nothing to do with race.

The one which still makes me chuckle is the term Blighty used here in the UK to refer lovingly to Britain. It is based on the Persian/Urdu term Bilayat/Bilayati which means foreign country/foreigner a term used by Indian for the British. So basically hearing people refer to their country as a foreign country is a bit shocking at first.
