The news does not mention that matters about JF-17 were discussed or the SLAF chief showed interest in JF-17. Perhaps the title of the thread is misleading.

thats good news for Sri Lanka & India.
India can train with SL, pitching the LCA (when done/if done) or its Mig29 against the JF17.
India should perhaps even secretly finance the deal if need be :)

Normally Pakistan or Sri Lanka won't issue official statements regarding defense deals.

JF-17 can easily find it's placein guneas book of world records for having largest ever sales force with zero sales. Grow up Thunder fans, stop pitching JF-17 toevery passerby.

Do you even know how defense deals work and what is the meaning of a end user agreement. Seriously how old are you?

If only International diplomacy were so simple... Ahmn.... Its too early to comment on it, but JF-17 is a good choice made by SLAF, Cheap and Best for the role they have to play in the region. Certainly they are not going for Air Superiority.

The current price quoted by CATIC is 30Million USD a piece. Which means that there wont be a watered down version in range of 15-20 Million USD. However, even in A2A thunder would be able to carry atleast 4 MRMs and 2 SRMs. Good enough for an invading flight group.

i don't found any news about Jf-17...is it a top secret ?????
I dont mind him, he is in a habbit of exaggurating things. The first export sale mentioned by CAC would be in Africa (Egypt) and Middle East (Qatar,Oman?).
