What's new

single national curriculum - 1 to 5 standards (Government’s single national curriculum is like martial law)

Ok i did a bit of research. Since Punjab is one of the provinces implementing SNC, so this is from their site, sharing the link:
https://pctb.punjab.gov.pk/SNC-Books

Points to Note:

SNC is actually from Pre 1 to Class 5 for this year.

Pre 1:

In English: English, Maths
Urdu: Intro to Urdu

Class 1 to 3:

In English: English, Maths
In Urdu: Urdu, General Knowledge, Islamiat

Class 4 to 5:
(G. Knowledge ends and Science and Social Studies intruduced in place of it)

In English: English, Maths, General Science
In Urdu: Urdu, Social Studies, Islamiat

IMO for Urdu medium schools & Madaris that used to teach Maths etc in Urdu previously, it is an up gradation. The only major change seems to be GK and Social Studies which will be in Urdu and may impact English medium schools which used to teach them in English. Islamiat i think was previously also in Urdu even in english medium schools till class 8 (maybe some were teaching in english from start).

Don’t want to go into details.

But the only compulsory subject of Language must be English and the National language as the goal is to achieve universal understanding instead of fueling hate by forcing provincial languages down someone’s throat.

A decade later, We can include Chinese as well:D

Secondly, The poor performance of Pakistanis and their shitty english the the result of lack of serious attitude to this language. It’s a universal truth that English is the language which dominates the researches, Books and speakers in the globe.
Whatever you want to do, should be done in stages from KG, not in the middle of academic years.

Books are not available, they are still being printed, and from 1st Aug it has been implemented. Simply mind boggling!!

.
The Govt has stipulated, that it has be taught, OR heavy financial penalties will be levied on the school.

As to your question, non-compliance by a student will not effect his promotion to the next grade, but his overall grades, and ranking will be effected. As I said earlier:

Grades in Grade 1-5 don't matter. Look at Finland education system and it is the sick Pakistani mentality focusing on grades that needs to change! Toppers of my school burnt out and the worst off in real life - even when it came to further education.

Besides, how much sense does it make to teach in Urdu from Gr1 to Gr8, and then Gr.9 & Gr10 in English?

This whole logic defying shenanigans, points towards a more nefarious agenda. An important pillar of society is being undermined.

It won't make any logic to you because you have not experienced. I can understand as I went from Metric system in Urdu to Metric in English to GCE abroad!

I studied in Metric system Urdu medium from Prep to Grade 6. Then in Grade 7 the school introduced English medium so one year in there before we relocated overseas. Grade 8 onwards I was in GCE at an International school. I was transitioned and fully settled within a year scoring higher grades than those students with all prior years in Western education system.

Now coming back to logic of Urdu in Grades 1-8 - it stuck with me for life. We studied Iqbal in school. We studied Islamiyat in school. It all stuck. First 13 years are critical learning years. My nephews who are now leaving private schools in Pakistan are nothing like the students we were, and they have very little affiliation with the country and are settling abroad for good (brain drain is this!!). My youngest brother is GCE and then American international school and there's nothing Pakistani about him. He and I are completely different. I am a nationalist and he doesn't give a damn when it comes to Pakistan - his whole education was Western. Half of Western educated children have no regard for their Deen with many borderline atheists - but you don't see any of that of course!

Now please reflect on what I have said to grasp the logic that evaded you earlier.

You are pulling crap out of your rear end, without any logic, or giving any thought to "load factor".

Nonetheless, do continue with your rants.

I am calling out your BS and you can't handle it!

What is your background? Maybe that will shed some light on why you don't see any logic. I gave you mine briefly to explain the logic but as expected it didn't penetrate that thick skin of yours.

Stop coming back with generalised statements and assumptions/taunts without any logical substance!

They would learn English from class 1 to 8. And would be able to study other subjects in English after studying English as compulsory subject for a decade.
Pls read my posts, there is more.

You are not calling out anything, just exposing your retarded mindset.
His concern is that the children would be OVERLOADED .. Jeez, he must be reproducing burger softies and undermining the capabilities of children that reading two subjects in Urdu a year would cause a mental collapse of kind.

I switched from all subjects in Urdu to all in English from Grade 7 to Grade 8 ... along with hundreds others. No suicides or crashes in our school. We weren't burgers that are studying in private schools and maybe he's screaming for their mental wellbeing!
The more you talk, the more you expose your shallow true self. Like I said earlier:

Didn't know political workers could self immolate to defend their ideological masters.

Please do not compare an underdeveloped country to a developed country. If Japan was now a developing country as similar as India and Pakistan, then they would need to follow the same as we needed to follow.
A Kid does not know if the country is first world developing etc for him what he sees is what parents and school teachers show.
The reason why I wanted you to see the Japanese system was to understand how important are ethics. The Culture that is being followed in Sub Continent specially for Muslims is Persian. Where as India is slightly behind as they can not consent to one culture due to then enormity of the large size.
You are living in India but would agree that Delhi and Chennai do not bond well. Then there is the South Indian and Mumbai Culture.

Where as it is far easier for Pakistan to have a single culture.

Does not matter!! If Russian wants to speak to french\Arabic or Chinese...... they must need to communicate in English ......
You have obviously not lived with the Russians or French because they would not reply to you if one speaks with them in English even though they would know English.

Now, here comes the family. Family plays a big role and helps their kids to complete with others children.

I strongly believe that family plays a bigger role when we talk about child education. Every child needs guidance from the family or parents, We need to give our time to help them.
Role of parents has been important since time and memorial but tell me how much time does a child spend with their parents. From 7 am to 2 pm in School then from 3 pm to 7 pm for tuition. 8 or 9 they go to sleep. so where is the time for the parents .Not to mention Fathers are working since 9 am to 7 pm and mothers are also busy with work specially in middle class. If elites then they are always busy with parties and events of socialising no time for the child as the child is in the custody of a servent.

Unfortunately this is the harsh reality today as we have adopted the Western culture where there is no concept of family life.

There should not be any public schools. Public schools are a burden on country. Don't produce babies if you can't afford school fees
We are not in that position yet. Despite the burden, we need more, "Actually functioning schools", and more of them, with a better curriculum that can compete internationally.

Health and Education, are two sectors that need more focus and investments, and this can be done by Private Public Partnerships.

Note: "Actually Functioning Schools" means NOT this:

We should look out for health and educational professionals sidelined and actually barred from appearing on any public forum . These two sectors are fast becoming a monopoly of profit hungary corporate entities which in many instances are an extension of one mother company -------- ofcourse they pay up front to legislative authorities so it's legal as well. You see where its going?

5th generation. Warfare. Just malign every good step. We need a total control on media in pak

.
Hindi and Urdu are same languages which was called Hindustani, the more Sanskritised is Hindi and more Persianised is Urdu. Hence a lot don’t speak Hindi in India, like local politics in Tamil Nadu, else Kerala guys speak can speak Hindi. For Indians, Hindi is a National Language, but mother tongue remains what we speak.
Between India doesn't have any national language
