Should the course at Pabbi be made compulsory for every PoliceMan ?????

Well every one here don't you think that the course at Pabbi the 6 week Anti Terrorist Course should be made compulsory for every Police Man. If not those who are in Police Force for let say at least 5 years but from now on every recruit after completing his or her training from Police Academy should do that course within first year of his or her service. Also Army should re design entire training of Police Man in their academies.

You are comparing apple with oranges. If you want to compare their manners compare them to a developing country in same league for instance India. You will have to accept that manners of an average German will also be different compared to an average Pakistani when it comes to civic sense or abiding law. At the end of the day they are part of same society and picked from within same nation.

First, police needs to be reformed and trained how to deal with public with respect and how to command respect from public. There needs to be massive reforms and police is needed to be made independent of political influence.

Once that is achieved, you can always increased their capacity by better training and arms. But first, the above mentioned reforms are necessary

I am comparing human with human. Manners can't be bought with money. Manners have nothing to do with developing country. Even within Pakistan, KPK police is far better than Punjab police regarding manners and public dealing.

Janab we don't have to make or have the course at Pabbi and we can exclude that Fighter Jet bombing thing and we can make areas in each province for that training. It doesn't has to be in Pabbi but every Province can have its own set up which is run and monitored by Army Guys.

That can happen simultaneously but Police has to be trained. Or remove Police from streets if you are not ready properly train them than also don't expect them to fight or risk your life for you in any case

Changing Police structure, mentality and general ethics is next to impossible as you need to change other systems too like: judiciary, bureaucracy, local-federal-national government departments from top to bottom.

None of them will be willing to change as they "earn" extra money through existing system. One of the many reasons its hard to get every civil department computerised is because "parchi system" will vanish and "extra income" will stop. Although I have full faith that a new system for extra income will be up and running by finding loop and holes in computerised systems.

Police in Pakistan is deployed for two main reasons:
1. Provide services and security to VVVIP, VVIP and VIP. Not to Public.
2. To apprehend lower level thugs and lower level criminals, who have no backing.

How will you change that?

Please first decide if you are asking for a course at Pabbi (as you mentioned earlier) or are asking for SSG style complete course for Police or just want to include SOME parts of SSG training program in police training?

Janab the course at Pabbi is not for SSG. Even Army Engineers have to do that course before getting deployed at Tribal area. The course which is done at Pabbi is only of 6 weeks on the other hand SSG train for around a year and LCB I think close to 6 months. I am saying after graduating from Police Academy every Police Man should have to pass that course before getting deployed any where.

I agree that Police Behavior needs to change. KPK Police has improved but still Police of all other provinces need lot of changing in attitude and other stuff. Still as long as you are using them to fight and stand against Taliban you have to give them training. Other wise end Police Force. Hand even regular Police Work to Army if can't than train Police with best fighting training. Both things can be done simultaneously. As for VVIP security it's time we decide a number How many Police Man we want for VIP security than stick to that and add that number into Police Force.
