Should Pakistan develop a force like NSG of India ?

I was wondering should Pakistan develop a force like NSG of India or GIGN of France or GSG9 of Germany. Taking best people from Elite Police Force and other commando units of Police from Pakistan and further training them for a year. Equipping them from MRAP to Helicopters to other stuff. Using them in hostage and other missions instead of SSG.

We already have many unites under police and other institutes....By the way till now Indian NSG failed miserably.

And no, we don't need it to workup on such things. There are better trained, more experienced, and better result delivering special forces in Pakistan.

You guys are kind of right. Because Indian Police before NSG didn't had any proper SWAT unit. NSG was literally their first SWAT unit. Also after Mumbai attacks of 2008 every province woke up and developed their own SWAT unit. All our Police Forces have SWAT units. I think we should focus on getting them more advance equipment. Specially night vision stuff and helmets and BP vests and MRAP and helicopters.

Not going to happen overnight. But you have to slowly start doing that. Even if you have to start from buying only 5 or 10 night vision goggles. Start from that. Also more then money it's over all mindset of our leadership which is major issue. All these years they were not giving MRAP and those who used to raise voice use to give shut up call. But after loosing dozens and when people started shouting now all of a sudden MRAP are being provided. Yes it's slow process but first they used to give us terrain crap and other excuses.

You mean the Kali Bilies. They are basically a VVIP protection force.

A proper SWAT unit would be more feasible. Current elite force is next to useless.

They are really good. They need better equipment. Plus training can be improved. Personally I consider lack of equipment much bigger issue.
