Levies personnel martyred in the Mangi Dam tragedy have been buried after talks with the sit-in committee and Balochistan government officials turned out to be successful to an extent.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Major Zaman was buried in Zarindan while Zain Ullah and Mudassar Hussain were buried in Mangi.

However, it is pertinent to mention that the sit-in staged by the families of the martyred personnel and others has not ended in Ziarat.

The sit-in committee on Monday announced to convene a jirga three days later.

The government negotiating committee including Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau, ANP parliamentary leader Asghar Khan Achakzai, Additional Chief Secretary Arshad Majeed, Director General Levies Kadir bakhsh Pirkani and others held talks with Nawab Muhammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai, head of the Mangi Dam sit-in action committee and convener of the Pashtun National Jirga,.

The members of the sit-in committee said that the next course of action will be laid before the jirga that will decide the next course of action.

They highlighted how the situation of the Pashtun homeland is not good as the struggle to end oppression and tyranny against them continues.

“We have to take decisions so that the nation can be saved from its problems and put on the path of development and prosperity,” the protestors said. "We strongly condemn the FC blast on the road, we strongly condemn the targeting of such poor soldiers and urge the policy makers and authorities to formulate a policy for the betterment of the country so that the people and the soldiers remain safe.”

Police sources said a case had been registered against 70 persons, including Nasrullah Zira, a member of the PkMAP for violating corona SOPs and blocking the National Highway during protests.

"For the sake of humanity, we have to look after the children of these soldiers. May Allah Almighty grant them patience and beauty," the sit-in committee members added.

On this occasion, Munawar Khan Panizai, Sardar Musa Khan Kakar, Rashid Khan Nasir of ANP and others were also present.
DG Levies Parkani, Deputy Commissioner Ziarat Omar Liaqat Randhawa, Commissioner Sibi Division, Assistant Commissioner Ziarat Zahid Ahmad Langau, Additional Deputy Commissioner Samiullah Kakar, Tehsildar Noor Ahmad Kakar, Risaldar Major Roz Mohammad Kakar, Risaldar Imran Damar, General Secretary Press Club Ziarat Abdul Manan Fateh Dotani, tribal elders of Ziarat, and a large number of citizens attended the burial ceremony of the martyred soldiers that were buried with national honor.

Three Levies personnel were martyred and as many injured when their vehicle hit a landmine in Balochistan's Ziarat district last week.

The explosion occurred when the Levies vehicle ran over a landmine near Mangi Dam.

Government needs to provide MRAP to Levies. Secondly Baluchistan is facing insurgency those going in services and their families should be prepared for attacks. Third Pakistan needs to go after BLA, BRA, TTP and other groups ruthlessly. Finally internal traitors and RAW puppets like PTM, ANP and others need to be dealt with. Entire media was ordered not to cover it and not covering these kind of incidents only results in more hatred and more problems. Plus ignoring PTM and ANP jokers is no longer acceptable because they are the ones who made it a big issue. Provide Levies with MRAP. Motivate forces and ask them to make sure that their families knew they are not in gardening this is a job where they have to take life and give life and finally crush PTM, ANP, BLA, BRA, TTP. This mess can't be ignored anymore. Or just hiding it from media won't work. We made same mistake in 1971. Don't repeat the same mistake.

If i would ever had brother or cousin in FC or in levies i will immediately call him back ,because he is more valuable then son of imran khan or Bajwa , first arm them properly then send them into war zone or send any senior General into Toyota before dispatching any convoy in offensive areas

Nearly 70-80% of all casualties have been through landmines and IEDs, yet somehow people try to convince those advocating for MRAPs and drones, that they're not the solution. Yet in every conflict they've been used, they've greatly reduced casualties, improved survivability and put a strain on enemy logistics. A combination of MRAPs and drones leaves the enemy vulnerable, add in smart checkpoints (explosive vapour detectors on every highway and border crossing) and now they have no place to hide, but nope.

I don't know what the top brass is waiting for, a national level protest by Levies/FC personnel and the ensuing embarrassment?
20 years of conflict, yet no lessons learnt. Imagine had we started induction of MRAPs after 2011, how many lives could've been saved. Pity.

Soi hua hain sub ka sub sutto pi ker maybe this will jolt them up and actually do something for a change. Last couple of months have been an absolute disaster for us in terms of casualties, but neither the PM nor the COAS has come out with a clear policy how to deal with them. Such a shame.

This is war and soldiers die, sad but true.
A small time insurgency which we still cannot control,War kithu tu lehn de.I do not see rpgs flying over residential buildings,Even in the worst hot zones across the country.

An odd excuse,For the many failures top brass is committing. These people did the right thing,Waking up those from slumber.
Sir this kind of protest can't be simply ignored. Stopping media from coverage also increases the problem. Don't make people feel like 1971. We can't afford another. We have to address issues.
Agreed
