Should Saudi Arabia buy an aircraft carrier?

Its not.....lol.....fairly obvious the vessels are being operated by ignorant chumps. From Houthi launch of the missiles to impact is counted in the 10's of seconds. No time to react or even detect an incoming missile. Obviously Sawdi's got no clue, until its too late. Houthi shore launched missiles have repeatedly hit Sawdi and UAE vessels.

Hint.......don't operate near the shores!

lol bro you do realise the only reason they are getting hit is because they don't have CIWS on them right? Any of those Houthi missiles could be lured away by chaff or effed up by the Phalanx CIWS or even the RAM.

You don't need carriers for shipping safety destroyers can do that job very well. Frigates can also do that job very well.

In Arabian gulf carrier is a sitting duck because of land based missiles.

Sir I totally agree with you that Saudis should have carriers. I am not denying it. I am only saying carrier is useless for Saudis if they want it against Iran. Saudis can reach Iran easily through their land based jets and carrier based jets have less combat radius and pay load.

If Saudis want carriers they should have them and carriers are good for power projection.

I think an agreement will have to be made between Saudi Arabia, the U.S. and Israel which would be that Saudi Arabia would get an aircraft carrier of a small class as I was stating before which are being built newly and are called America-class and which can carry 20 F-35s which is still a good amount. The agreement would have to be that the Saudis don't use the aircraft carrier near Israel shores or on the western base nearest to Israel. I'm saying an attack from the sea can be useful for attacking targets at sea and they would. I don't think that Saudi Arabia can launch a direct air attack from their land to areas in eastern Iran and they could easily get their aircraft carrier in or near Pakistan and launch attacks with F-35s from the east while attacking with F-15SAs from the western cities such as Tehran.

Saudis are our ally and them having air ship carrier is good news for us.
