Seleucus Nicator's Invasion of India, c.306-303 BC

Porus was a king of areas that make up present day Pakistan his religion has no bearing on that in fact if his descendants are still alive and kicking they are probably Pakistanis today.

And thats point to a basic fact.Even if India and Pakistan are two countries ,carry different religion both are still follow same blood line.No religion cant change that.

You are getting it all wrong. I have already explained this before.

He was probably from East Punjab anyway. Just because the battle happened in modern day West Punjab, it doesn't mean he belonged from there only.

He was a Hindu Punjabi hero and modern day Hindu Punjabis who all live in India have the first right over him, followed by Pakistanis and other Hindus and indians.
Actually Pakistani Hindus would have the greatest right over him People of the Hydapses (Pak Punjabis) the second greatest and the rest follows :D

Whatever helps you sleep at night , at the end of the day his descendants are most likely to be Pakistani Punjabis.

And they would call that period jahiliya. The choice has been made, no going back on it now. ;)

There is nothing to prove this. He could well have been from the Indian Punjab. Just bcoz the battle took place in West Punjab does not mean his descendants are there.

Even if assuming that he was from West Punjab, taking into account his bravery, he was probably one of those Punjabis whose descendants who refused to convert to Islam and remained a Hindu and migrated to Indian Punjab after Partition.

On a lighter note, I read in a older thread that one of the members was trying to say that Porus was Buddhist.

Again that same shit , disregarding Sufism completely .
You may want to believe that but atleast don't litter history with your fantasies .

LOL again with the Punjabis forced to convert theory? Why every village, town, or city in Pakistani Punjab has some sort of shrine to a Sufi saint if everyone was forced at sword?

Yea so? I call Indians my wretched cousins of the east anyway. :D

and we call Pakistanis as our naughty brothers due to same reason:enjoy:.
Porus known as Purushothama in India and according to our mythology he carry same bloodline of Yudhistira of Pandavas ,but it is still a myth ,no evidence for that. Now no one can claim him.He was a Hindu. But he may be Pakistani or Indian.
Quarrelling for credit about him is childish

Again whatever helps you sleep at night :coffee:
He is ours , go eat peanuts 8-)

That's what you have been saying about Kashmir as well. Doesn't change the ground realities

P.S- I love how Pakistanis think they can just choose their ancestors. Waise they keep singing Qasim, Ghaznavi, Ghauri, Babur, Timur all day all night only because of their religion even though they had nothing to do with them but now suddenly when a Hindu warrior 's greatness arises they start claiming him as well. You are only fooling yourself, no one else

We have no problem with you guys claiming him too but if you say he is more yours because he was Hindu we won't accept it. Then again if Pakistani say who cares because he was Hindu people like @nick_indian would be the first to be like Pakistanis don't accept the Hindu parts of their history. :disagree:

You can believe that all you want.

He could have kicked the arse of your "heroes" like Qasim, Gaznavi and Ghauri, not surrendered to them and considered them liberators.

LOL boy the only Jahil here is you.

No Syed (or any Arab/Turk/...) has anything to do with our holy land or its history.
