Saras: How much indigenous is it???

Am not sure there is any link between pic taken and design initiated by MDB.

For all I know MDB designed M-102 Duet in soviet time and were looking for partner to share the cost, after soviet kaput..

NAL saw and liked the design .........rest is wink wink.

If wink wink is Possible, why hasnt Pakistan taken up any project like that, before criticizing You must also take into consideration that the country which You belong to has not taken any steps forward, Atleast India has 4 Civilian aircrafts project running side by side.

It might not be a big thing for u, But for us It sure is, We are trying to make a move forward rather sitting in a safe place criticizing others development....

@thread starter. . Please give links . Yours won mouth is not credit

M-102 Duet-Saras

M-102 Duet-Saras - Joint (50/50) russian-indian project. 14..19 seats passenger a/c. Price about $3.5M (cost of project $44M, estimated market is 1000 a/c for CIS + 300 for India). Serial production planned at "Sokol", Nizhni Novgorod and at HAL, India.

This was what they had in mind ....the project started in 1991.Later due to financial problems they gave up.And we decided to push on without them.

Just to recap, these are the parts imported. Am not sure anything is left of the plane to be added to make it "indigenous";

  • * Design
  • * Egines
  • * Propellers
  • * Digital avionics system components,
  • * Fuel system components,
  • * Electrical power generation components,
  • * Hydraulic system components,
  • * Emergency system components
  • * Raw material and standard parts.
  • * Data and voice recorder

ADA is developing Avionics, Which Includes, Navigation, Communications, flight control systems,Collision-avoidance systems,Aircraft management systems(Probably a joint venture with SAMTEL),Hydraulic system made By HAL is tested In NAL.

We export raw materials to many countries, its not a problem for us to use it in our products...

Engines and Black box, its not Indian, but Gas turbine research establishment is Working on Engines.... And Would U bother to reply for post #91?

Yes, Its our first civilian aircraft, we Joined Russia to gain experiance,Russia With drew itself, we were left alone, So developing an aircraft from scratch Does take time....

When you are asked for a link You dont give, and you expect me to give?? You believe it or not GTRE is developing turbo prop engines.HAL has been Making and exporting GARRETT 331 - 5 Turbo prop engines since 1988...

When pakistan starts developing an Aircraft on its own, then it will see Complications, Not by sitting Idle laughing at others Efforts:lol:
