"Replacements for deficient Su-30 MKI and MiG-29 are being processed."

.
12 is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ). Please read about MOQ.
In case of HAL, 12 Sukhoi is its annual production rate and hence MOQ.

Also no pilots died in that accident.

Again, your BS is laughable, Indonesia ordered tiny batches of SU-30s, as did Uganda and Belarus. Before asking people to "read up" maybe follow your own advice?

Got humiliated thier right how does it feel to know Vietnam is buying brahmos despite your denial and I don't have to prove anything to you

So you do not have a source for the SU-30 upgrade claim and are now changing the subject?

While people are debating over the merits of Russian fighter aircraft it appears that they've missed some pretty important leaks.

South Asia is witnessing quite a lot of EW activity. Both India and China have Integrated Air Defence Systems with various types of Radars, sensors, SAMs and AWACS. China is known to have dedicated EW aircraft and Anti-Radiation Missiles which are integrated with their fighter aircraft. They have potent ECM equipment onboard the fighters in addition to a large number of Ground based EW Regiments.

The IAF over the years has gained considerable experience in generating effective active ECM techniques, as the IAF has Fighters, Radars and SAM systems of diverse origins in its inventory. Most of the weapon systems with China are of similar design and we have been able to refine our EW techniques based on our knowledge of their systems. Since we participate in bilateral exercises with many Air Forces of the world, we therefore consider ourselves to be experienced in operating in a real EW environment.

It appears that the rumors were true...

All people criticizing Soviet Junks should also realise one important thing, no western countries (except France) especially America would not have sold us any advance military equipments until mid 2000s. And also how weak our economy was at that time we couldn't have afford them anyways even if offered. We had no choice back in the day. The only way to compete against Pakistan armed with advance American weapons was to buy Soviet machines. The lesson learnt during 65 war where we had nothing that could stand up against PAF F104 Starfighters.
Indeed, the policy decisions of the time were based on practical considerations. It was not like India had options to choose from.

The Russian conflict has shaken the Indians to much of an over reaction.

Here from Manu pubby that I read
This is another tragedy for IAF. Based on what I've read recently, Russia has already closed its tank factories. Seems like their defence industry depends on Western supply chain a lot for manufacturing. Even if China were to fill some of the dependencies, can India really rely on weapons that depend so much on China for their own manufacturing?

Despite all Putin's bravado, the sanctions are going to toast a number of Russian defence manufacturers. India will be hit sideways along with it :undecided:

I just wish the Indian navy was as shitty as the Indian Airforce. Had they not launched thier own programmes, they too would have been begging France for the FREMM and Russia for more Admiral Gorshkov class. Likely wouldn’t have had any destroyers either. Indian navy was smart with the Barak-8 and Brahmos development.
