The right thing for Imran Khan to do is to immediately abandon this Godforsaken colonial blasphemy law. Anyone found to be committing crimes against other people in the name of religion needs to be handed the death penalty on live national TV. He won't do this because he is weak. There is only one solution for Pakistan. Pakistan has countless challenges to deal with. It barely survived the onslaught during the Afghan war. The enemies, both internal and external, won't sit idle until Pakistan is brought to its knees.

Pakistan needs a brutal autocrat. Until and unless Pakistan stabilises from internal and external challenges an autocrat must lead from the front. All emotions and nonsense need to be put aside. Pakistan must be governed with an iron fist. The goals should be crystal clear and there should be no interference from any side. Where it can find such a leader is a huge problem. To think that Pakistan would get an easy ride with concentrated power would still be a far cry, but at least internal skirmishes can be overcome tactfully.
