Indian Defence minister has come with several offers including:
1. overhauling Mig 29 in Indian Facility
2. Offshore Patrol vessel for Coast Guard on credit
3. T-72 tank training

Note: all of these have been rejected as these do not fulfill the requirements

:lol::lol::rofl::rofl::rofl:

They should have offered some ex-Indian Coast Guard vessels, given your Navy's obsession with used Coast Guard vessels.

I did not know we tried to sell them to India.

I think Parrikar intends to buy them for target practice for the light combat helicopter. Meanwhile Combat Improved Ajeya (upgraded T-72) is far better than anything in service with your army.

Bit rich, coming from Bangladeshis who still use 1960s vintage T-54 clones. :omghaha:

Nah just the indian defence minister himself to come running because the Bangladesh navy buy 2 old training sub from China....:yes4::omghaha:

'from China' part is more important than 'Bangladesh navy buy 2 old training sub' part.

India’s Defence Minister Manohar Gopalkrishna Prabhu Parrikar arrived on a 2 day state visit to Bangladesh on 30/11/2016 to boost military ties between the two neighbouring countries.
.
His visit comes days after the Bangladesh Navy announced that it had taken delivery of its first submarines from China.
.
Defence Minister Parrikar brought with him an entourage of Indian military officers to Dhaka.
.
He met with Bangladesh’s President Abdul Hamid and discussed matters of mutual interest such as counter-terrorism, establishment of regional peace and military cooperation.
.
The Bangladesh President offered more training to Indian military officers at Bangladesh’s military institutions for deepening the ties between the two military forces further. Bangladesh and India agreed to conduct more joint exercises involving their respective Special Forces, navies and air forces.
.
The Indian Defence Minister brought with him a list of military equipment and services that Bangladesh could avail including overhauling MiG-29’s at Indian facilities, Offshore Patrol Vessels for Bangladesh Coast Guard and T-72 main battle tank training amongst other things however Bangladesh refused all of those offers given they were unnecessary or satisfactorily fulfilled by other countries including China.
.
Bangladesh’s military is currently engaged in modernisation and expansion of its forces with focus on manufacturing military weapons and platforms indigenously. The Bangladesh Navy embarked upon a plan to build most of its ships at its own shipyard as it can utilise three major shipyards under its control. The Bangladesh Ordnance Factories and Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory are manufacturing various land forces weapons, vehicles and war equipment whereas the Bangladesh Air Force manufactures and develops some of its own munitions, parachutes, electronic equipment, engineering and test equipment saving large sums of foreign currency.
.
Bangladesh maintains strong defence ties with China, Europe and Russia, who supply most of its military equipment, provide training and spare parts.
