I believe you mean MiG-29. MiG-39 project was cancelled.

The chance of Bangladesh Air Force overhauling their MiG-29s in India is pretty close to nil.

Not gonna happen.

That was one of the three things Mr. Parrikar had on the agenda.

i think that mig29 overhauling is a posibllity may be the last attempt to see them in air again...attemps to sell them already failed...

This guy is bringing all 2nd in command of 4 services, airforce, navy, army and coast guard. I am not sure if they themselves will start taking training in our military academy.

Wow, Bangladeshi military knows how to fight wars ? That's news to us,

He as the defence minister should better spend his time trying to sort out the border with pakistn and the problems in the northern states.

Sure, dealing with a weak state like Bangladesh doesn't require the involvement of the military.

Are you talking about Bangladeshi MiG-29s? Probably Indian ones. I don't know if local overhaul in India already started, it was planned in 2008 because the Russians grounded the MiG-29s because of tail-root corrosion.

Local overhaul is already taking place in Bangladesh on BAF MiG-29s at the aeronautical center. Some were upgraded in Ukraine a few years back.

Bit rich, coming from Bangladeshis who still use 1960s vintage T-54 clones. :omghaha:
