Actually they use Indian made radars & sonars in their frigates, which are far advanced than anything in the Bangladeshi fleet.

Great, now its time to upgrade their mig too and some OPV. Correct?

.
On a note here, when Chinese defence minister Chang Wanquan visited Bangladesh in last May,our army chief received him in airport. This show the difference Bangladesh make between China and India.

He came to defence people to give direction of demilitarization which is job and pride of defence echelon. Now how will this parrikar idiot be taken seriously.

. . .
Yet when challenged in the Bay of Bengal by the Bangladesh Navy they backed down.....don't they have faith in the super advanced indian gadgets?

What does that have to do with Indian weapons doofus ?

. .
Sadly he got told were not interested! how bad is that to be told by poor Bangladesh they prefer not to buy such super advanced indian gear?......

Don't worry, we'll make you to. If you can afford them without a loan that is...

. . . . .
If 'support' means getting milked for 1960s vintage coast guard cutters & submarines, I would support that.

That question mark has some meaning.

To quote you "Actually they use Indian made radars & sonars in their frigates, which are far advanced than anything in the Bangladeshi fleet." and yet it didn't help them much when they backed down confronting the BN in the Bay of Bengal.

Yet the BN prefers "1960s vintage", over what the defence minster has to offer.....:-)

So it was the Kyan Sittha class frigate which was 'confronted' by the BN ?

Because you can't afford it. As simple as that.

Well, if they were so sure of their super advanced frigate with its super advanced indian gear, why didn't they send them? Instead of backing down? Didn't they have faith in the indian gear?

Your right.....my bad.....:agree:..... that must be the reason why we refused the offer of indian OPVs etc etc.....they are just toooooooooooooo expensive for us....We'll just have to make do with cheaper Korean, Chinese and European stuff.

Your logic is hilarious.

I don't see Korean or European vessels being bought by the BN. It is always vintage used coast guard cutters/frigates. And there is no sign of that type 054 frigate.

Maybe we should have offered a frigate based on Kamorta class. But you know you can't afford it with your small defense budget unless we finance it.
