Pakistan's use of anti-tank missile battalions to counter larger Indian mechanized forces. Doctrine

I assume regular infantry units, like in Indian Army, are also equipped with anti-tank missiles. Which I think will be Baktar-Shikan. Considering the weight of the whole complex, do they also use 4x4 vehicles? And how many launchers per battalion? Thanks.
here they are

Land Rover Defender series, beauty. I was actually sad when Land Rover stopped production of the Defender :(. Back on topic, I am not a military tactician but in the battle of Chioggia the Venetian's were the first nation to use ship mounted rockets to attack a superior fortification and the resulting attack led to the death of Genoese Commander.

Out of curiosity what type of HEAT missiles do Pakistan Army have in use?

an outdated system! Hopefully gets retired soon.

These chaps made huge holes in the frontal turret of Serbian M-84 mbts during the Kosovo conflict, and the M-84s were known to have pretty decent armor back then, better than any t-72 variant.

The Baktar Shikan is the primary ATGM for PA to this day and has several variants with different ranges.

Hi you can compare the same format of IA with PLA

Hi Imran sb what are the other two barrels beside the missile
Thank you
One can clearly see that they are reloading missiles.

The maaz apc/ifv has eight missiles total with one on launcher and rest store inside for reloading.
Hope that this system is inducted on the APCs:

And combine the multi launcher with the 25mm gun used on the Al-Hamza:

And voila you have a system similar to the american bradley:

The system may also be mounted on a type 59 or Al Khalid chassis to get something like the terminator:

Protection can be increased with ERA or bolt on armor. Firepower can be increased with use of laser guided missile (chinese or turkish maal) and 30mm cannon instead of 25mm(will shred the older t-72Ms India has)

Out of 49 arm. regiments in PA,
It is understood that 2 Armoured div's have 12 arm. regiments but no MIB's (mechanized infantry is provided by 2x partly mechanized divisions in each Corps), 2 Mech. div's have 10 regiments with own MIB's, there are 8 ind. arm. brigades (with 16 regiments). Plus 2 Ind. Mech. brigades with 2 arm. regt, How are the remaining arm. regiments distributed among Inf. div's? And, which inf. div's don't have them (besides FCNA, 12 ID, 19 ID, 34 Light ID, etc).
If we move by 49 regiments standard then,

Armored Divisions: 12 regiments
Mechanized Divisions: 10 regiments
Infantry Divisions: 13 regiments
Ind Arm Brigades: 12 regiments
Ind Mec Brigades: 2 regiments
Total: 49 regiments

You have extra counted two IABs which are both part of armored divisions.

Are u confident for them against Indian T90S and Arjun?

I was looking at this image again, it mentioned Mech Divs under Strike Corps.

I believe the structure for IMB has changed.

I have learnt that both Corps don't have any Ind. Arm. brigade. You are welcome to make corrections. :-)

How were the T-69 replaced when they were sent to FC?

T55 is the work horse...it performance has even beat Leopard in Syrian conflict.

But sometime untrained rookies get the taste of there own professionalism .

Mech Inf Div's, as 17, 37 and 40 were sometimes called.

Replaced with AK pre-2008, stored and later modified for COIN.
Type 69 is still operational in Western sectors. Below is an year old Pic.

Tanks work differently in sub conventional warfare and in conventional warfare. Pakistan has used its T59/T69 with great efficiency in war against terror. However, these tanks are obsolete against India centric threats.

Forget Arjun, its a junk, but it is (baktir-shiken) comes with various warheads to defeat modern tanks

About Arjun tank:
"The tank is fitted with Kanchan armor, a locally designed composite blend that is allegedly similar to British Chobham armor. Kanchan is rumored to be capable of shrugging off point-blank shots from the 125-millimeter gun of Indian T-72 tanks. Arjun is so well protected that its weight ballooned from the original forty-ton specification to sixty-two tons."
https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/why-indias-army-hates-its-homemade-arjun-tank-119911

Arjun maybe junk compared to more modern tanks like the T-90s but it has impressive armor protection. Lets us also not forget that Baktar-shikan is not only the 2nd generation weapon system and not state of the art such as Javelin, Hellfire 2 and Red Arrow 12. If we can afford it, I would go for at least a battalion armed with Red Arrow 2 (Norinco HJ-12) because I do not think that the USA would sell as additional Hellfire-2 missiles.

In the Indo -Pak scenario, one would ignore Arjun at his peril.
