I think this is the now clearly stated policy of IK and the Pak military establishment that they will retaliate against all Indian military actions. For Pak it has to be this, it cant afford to be bullied by a large and powerful neighbor that is desperately seeking to establish its dominance over Pak.

While the outcome of any future encounter cant be foretold but it seems clear from IK's statement that it will be an eye for an eye, like for like.
