Pakistan terror wave sparks rare criticism of Saudi Arabia!

wrong, Pakistan is a country consist of people with no ambitions, a country where kids learn from their elder that whatever you do and how hard you work doesnt matter, because jo allah ki marzi hogi wohi hoga. How often you hear this phrase, makes me sick whenever I hear it.

but still you never listen to your parents dont you ? :D
lack of leadership is one thing , and having faith is different , dont forget the Islamic Empire done extremely great with same religion ...

I will tell you what went wrong. 1971.

I was curious to look into the thread of Pakistan before 90s and a lot of people were wondering what went wrong. They blame it on Zia which is true but you need to think why Zia acted like that and it all comes to 1971.

Pakistan had a very rich resource base in Bangladesh. It's amazing how that country is so badly poverty stricken despite having an enormous amount of natural resources. West Pakistan exploited BD and was able to maintain a good healthy economy (often at the cost of BD). Of course American aid helped a lot and also oil from the gulf which if I am not mistaken was subsidised.

After 1971 Pakistan lost a major revenue generator in BD. This not only affected industries in West Pakistan but also hurt their economy. But economy was only a part of the problem. The loss of half their country in a war against their arch-rivals badly shook up the Pakistani establishment. The generals looked for radical ways to blunt India's military superiority and this resulted in radicalisation of Pakistani society, helped by the Soviet invasion Afghan refugees and unlimited Saudi funding.

Pakistan had a de facto pact with Saudis for funds in return for establishing Pakistan as a theological state.

All these problems in Pakistan would not have occurred if Pakistan had a strong industrial base and healthy economy. Lack of employment and economic growth makes people do crazy things. It broke down USSR after all. Saudi Arabia has very harsh laws where criminals are amputated in public. Why is there no rebellion? Because the majority have food on their plates and money in their pockets. If such draconian laws were implemented in any other country there would be public uprising.

Saudi Arabia has the security of oil, Pakistan has nothing to fall back upon.

A huge population, radicalised on foreign money with no jobs. A very dangerous combination.

If Pakistan had BD with them today then the industries of Pakistan would be up and running, economy would have been stable and the youth would have taken up jobs instead of weapons.

SAudi money continues to reach the LEJ and Jundullah. LEJ leaders themselves have admitted to this monumental fact. Saudi promotes terrorism elsewhere while at home it is extremely orthodox laws. I think this criticism is for once good.
KSA as a state is not involved in supporting any terror in Pakistan or elsewhere. However, individual Saudis funding certain extremist elements cant be ruled out. At any rate, it should not be very difficult for the government to choke the channels through which such fundings are made. I would blame Pakistani government first for not taking adequate measure to stop money from reaching to its destination and later on those who are making such fundings.

Good start.. at-last some section within Pak has started calling spade a spade without succumbing to emotional & religious blackmailing. Keep up the good work & face up to the realities! End result may not be all that bad..

They have been doing it for years, but it takes time for the 'nation' to wake up. Our media is much more free and liberal than any of those pathetic GCC nations. It is about time we tell them that friendship and diplomacy is one thing, but jihadism is another.

Apart from the declining revenues from Jute, Bangladesh didn't have much natural resources. West Pakistan always had more. Not to mention the constant floods striking East Pakistan, with totally different culture. West Pakistan had more industry than the east, though it started declining in late 60s and 70s when Bhutto became the leader. Pakistan is still a much stronger nation industrially. Just look at the resources map for Bangladesh and Pakistan, you'll see the difference. We have large agricultural resources, oil and gas, coal, copper, gold etc. We have hydo electric potential, Bangladesh is simply too much people on too little land.

I'll suggest you to kindly keep KSA as a state demarcated from certain Saudi individuals who maybe involved in funding certain extremist elements. I am sure at one point or another even myself and you have been donating certain entities who had sinister motives, for we don't go after and check out everyone we make donations to on exactly how they use the donated money. It is the job of the government agencies to keep a check on those who ask for donations and if they are not misusing those funds. This new trend of implicating KSA as a state for sponsoring extremisms in Pakistan is not an healthy attitude and would fire-back eventually.

Jute is one, agriculture in BD would have been better than that in West Pakistan pre-1971. There would be other areas as well where BD had the advantage. Industries may have been concentrated in Pakistan but the resource base was BD.

The Bangladeshis struck lottery with their oil and gas reserves in bay of Bengal. Pakistan may have greater natural reserves but they are not able to tap into them. Industries in Pakistan are hit by energy crisis and the terror threat.

At first place govt should make it possible that these A-Holes are not be able to collect fund PERIOD.

This is what i am also saying all along, If countries or foreign individuals are funding terrorism in Pakistan, then in this case it is clear that Pakistani Authorities are not capable to work to make sure the money "coming from outside" is not used for wrong purposes.

They cannot run a country then. It is not something new that our authorities cannot run the nation properly utilizing all it's resources for the best of the nation and work with at least 80%+ efficiency.

Support making Pakistan a secular country. PAKISTANIs deserve better than this
no. Pakistan should adopt Sharia Law. problem with Pakistan is that, Pakistan is not 100% Islamic country nor it is liberal secular democracy. It is somewhere in between. Pakistan can not become 100% secular democracy so that is out of equation. so only way left for Pakistan is to adopt Sharia and become 100% Islamic nation. Probably that will solve all the issues in Pakistan.

All these terrorist is not relay on Saudi funds and they have drugs money + kidnapping and other different sources. If Pakistan want to control them then Pakistan have to pass a bill that above 25000/- a month from any account can't be withdrawn from the individual account and only bank cheque can be use. Govt. should lift tax on cheque above 25,000 and put tax on cash withdrawn. Only they we can track that where this money come from and where it is going. This is the only way to control money on wrong hand.

Iraq and Saudis had funded BLA against Iran and gwadar port in 60's.
