Can you compare HQ-16N and DK-10 capabilities and which one will suite PN ships?

In June 2017, Pakistan Navy entered into contract with CSTC to acquire 2 type 054A frigates. On June 2nd 2018, 2 additional ships were ordered, bringing the total number of ships to 4. The ships are expected to be delivered by 2021.

for DK10, we need to design SIRFM for type 54 variant, and DK10 is the future if we can further increase its range like ESSM or SLAMRAAM-ER. Maybe we can build up new generation SLAMRAAM based on PL15 AAM. Both DK10A and HQ16b are hot launch.

1 x OHP (Needs to get revamped/upgraded or reverted to training ship. It has huge spaces for upgrade n with Turkish input can be very good platform.)

2 x Swiftship 75m Swift Corvette

3 x Retrofit Agosta 90B

The HQ16B with automatic seeker and 70 km range should suffice present and near future needs.

And with massive demand of HQ16b for both PLA and PLAN, it will be very cost-effective for Pakistan navy to induct in quantity. That's economy of scale.

Now Pakistan turns into a virtuous circle, whoever(China/turkey/Russia) offer the best solution&price will get the order. Competitive and positive.

The MILGEM was being negotiated in parallel with the Type 054A. In November the MoDP said the MILGEM deal was mostly complete, while the Turkish SSM said it was close last month.

They were negotiating for the MILGEM Ada, so no VLS. Basically, the MILGEM will serve in the same role as the F-22P (ASW, AShW), while the Type 054A is to be the AAW cover and probably also command ship for the F-22P/Ada.

Even the Type 054A, it won't start off as notably exciting, but the long-term potential is great in terms of upgrades, esp. once next gen Chinese gear comes online.

Some of the items for the Milgem have already been ordered (Power-plant 8xMTU Diesels and 4xLM 2500 Gas Turbines, 4x Oto Melara Super Rapid 76mm Main Gun etc.) ... SIPRI lists these items. Unless now being used in Type 54A this purchase seems to point towards a done deal on Milgem. My 2C worth
