that’s a wishful thinking, I think we will need the plant and equipment needed to achieve this task from USA. not sure if that is possible given the current funding constraints and US policy.
we did manage to keep our earlier F-16s flying during the era of sanctions but a rebuild factory would need a steady stream of parts and material that cant be built locally and that too without any sanctions and restrictions keeping in mind the American mood swings

what we need is technical assistance that's all parts can come up from various sources. Initially we were planning to conduct MLU at Kamra which is itself a complete rebuild of F-16 only didn't go for it because of JF-17 assembly line was in the process of being setup.

Well F-16 is a great Aircraft indeed,with due respect,PAF knows better what to purchase and what will be fit for security.This is the only aircraft that scares india or else,mirage,jf 17 and f-5 or 6 are the aircrafts wich india don't even talk about.

ha ha you talking about the issues in funny manner,that could happen in the next decade.By the end of this decade we would have the PAK FA.it will roar the skies in the western region.already we stationed our SU MKI's very near to the western border.Dont try to play the game as innocent,Unless some one has to be ready to sacrifice the valuable things in the future prospective.

Why do you guys keep forgetting that by the time you get your hands on MMRCA we would have J-10's to counter them and by the time you get your hands on PAK-FA we would have J-20 to counter that. We will never buy something so expensive until you commit first but once you commit we will ensure parity.

Sacrifice of valuable things will be mutual, whenever it happens, that is guaranteed. If not by Fighter Jets then by SRBM/MRBM/ALCM etc.
