Is there a minimum educational qualification to join the RNAF and to fly jets? And what is the entry qualification like? Do you have any screening (as in you need physics and maths so on and so forth? ) Reason I am asking is typically at 21 you are just out of grad school which is the minimum requirement in both the PAF and IAF, if I am not mistaken.

PAF has her own schools and boarding houses where youth start from class 8 and end up GDP or whatever else they are suitable for. So PAF pilots are educated from an early age and trained for their part.

I guess the equivalent to that here would be the NDA, which, is post the 12th year of studies.

But, the point is, I am sure PAF would not have pilots flying F-16s or any other fighter for that matter at the age of 21! You have barely cleared your grads at this time. Correct me if I am wrong.

It already end of their shell life , pak need to change airframe , engine, avionics etc , must be they are buying for canabalise. but that happened to their cheapest JF-17?

F-16's is not a practical option as the US-PAK relationship is not ideal, we must focus on jf-17 block II & j-10 a/b .

Pakistan Already have f-16, What pak needs is f-18s now.
Man move to a newer version!

think before posting , will the US agree to such a deal given the state of us-pak ties ? when one talks about weapons acquisitions one should take the current geo-political scenario under considerations & make the best possible decisions not out of whims but with practicality.

PAK should cooperate with china to turn their F16s to unmanned arial suicide bombers. A new form of warfare derived from Japanese Kamikaze fighters except without loss of any human lives. I agree with you, there are better alternatives like the J-10b and the J-11.

I think Pakistan should get the most advanced version of J-11 if the Chinese are willing to sell it.
