Pakistan, Iran relations ‘back on track’

I have always been a strong advocate of better ties with Iran, but its obvious that their interests often do not overlap with ours, and anything above neutrality is simply a dream. From their point of view Chabahar and developing strong economic ties to India are a matter of great importance as Western sanctions have taken a strong toll on their economy. We know fully well that India uses this as a leverage against Iran since despite being backstabbed by New Delhi when convenient (IAEA voting for example), Iran still goes running back to India due to its large buyer base (driven by population size). Ideally we should always go for neutrality in Middle Eastern affairs as even the Saudis have strong ties with India, but they did not jump on the anti-Pakistan bandwagon like the Iranians did as soon as the chance emerged. Iranian credibility has undoubtedly taken a hit in Pakistan over the past couple of months.

We want to improve relation with Iran. We are permanent neighbor and we have to stay here permanent. Good and stable relation is in the interest of both countries. We should improve trade and people to people contact. We can also work together to encourage tourism in both countries.

We can also improve relation with india . There is still misunderstanding after pulwama attack & after their dozens+ soldiers killed . We both can't fight forever. Both sides must solve issues, even if we have to do give & take option in kashmir but politicans on both sides using this for political purpose and there is "less will" to solve issue on both side

yes there is so much laxmi potential. joint fashion industry, joint cultural infusion and very similar people.

lets move back to 1959 and do what Ayub was doing. Make a joint defence pact with India

The relations are back on track because Pakistan knows how to handle it. Rest no need to get hopes very high. Just keep your eyes open, build the wall and dial knobs. Long Live Pakistan

Iran needs to stop playing in the hands of RAW.
I think the results of Feb-19 skirmishes has brought senses to some of our neighbours who were considering INDIA as the next super power and were planning to bow to them.

.
iran wants to be the muslim super power hence the belligerence towards Pakistan "which is a strong country like it or not" Though I some what agree with their criticism of other gulf countries but hey they themselves are cozy with the world's most anti-muslim country which is hell bent on destabilising Pakistan.

Iran only shut its trap after the beating we gave to its pimp(india). Khomeni Mullahs are hypocritical cowards of the highest grade.

100% agreed... I closely followed PressTV during all this crisis beginning with the announcement of HRH MBS visit to Pakistan. I was really shocked as I couldn't tell the difference between Press TV or any cheap anti-Pakistan Indian media outlet and then interestingly enough attacks happens in Iran on the same time as Pulwama and Iran uses the same language against Pakistan as India while the mullah supporters went silent. Gen. Sulaimani threatened Pakistan of surgical strikes  after Feb 26 of Indian treegical strike.

Iran was openly supporting the enemies of Pakistan. But the very next day Pakistan downed two Indian A/Cs so PressTV went silent. And man the real hate was in the comment sections under the news and one can say that "they could be Indians" but I could respond but the comments are moderated and only those comments are allowed that match their policy. But it was funny how PressTV was clueless on Feb 27 after PAF did counter strike and downed two Indian A/Cs... They did not want to report the news and barely report and the comment section was empty :partay::partay:
So, it is good that finally things are under control but we should know the reality and keep our eyes & ears open :)

There is no misunderstanding. Actually its people like you who are not understanding things properly. Do you think all this happened because of some misunderstanding ?
I mean creating a drama(pulwama) and then crossing the border with your airforce is not a MISUNDERSTANDING.
The only thing they understood properly is that Pakistan is no walkover and that is what brought them back to the earth.

Bro, there's no deficiency of idiots, you follow his posts more and you will realise it. But such people are better ignored. Vast majority of Pakistanis knows very well who is its enemy and who did not accept the creation of Pakistan since the day one and I really wish Modi wins another terms so that these khota-eating basturds go permanently silent.

I used to be the proponent of the neutrality and totally supported Pakistan decision to not participate in Yemen war. But we do not need to take this neutrality thing too literally. This world is about national interests and if we have to decide, we should opt for what is best in our national interest because no other country values our neutrality and rather plays in the hands of the enemy from time to time.

F the terror state of Iran. Hope the American sanctions turn the nation into a failed state

Maturity shown by Pakistan pays dividends in both issues with Iran and India. We won the praise of the public of both countries, while warmonger leaders in both tried to instigate war.

Iran is under the crosshairs of many nations and pressure from many sides makes its foreign policy paradoxical and erratic.

We did good by sending Sheikh Rasheed to talk some ‘sense’ to the Iranians. This man is not to be trifled with.

They are in cahoots with the yanks, they just hurl abuses at each other for show, the yanks made it possible for iran to spread its tentacles in syria and iraq. The yanks act like Iran is the enemy yet they never take any serious step against them.
