Pakistan-China Joint Air Force Exercise "Shaheen-IX 2020"

Competent Air Forces throughout the world train for the threat they face- so they can swat it out of the sky when the time comes to do so. Incompetent ones however can only highlight how their procurement of a weapons system causes their enemy worry because they train to fight it.
Would be interesting to see how the PAF does in future conflicts in absence of American weapons, especially with Chinese aircrafts. No such danger for the next decade or two.
But i bet by then paf would have procured aircrafts from some European country.

and self delusional hype because those are acquired by them so the heroic fighter planes, being raptor of the east.

by the way what name they would be giving to the new comer?

A PDF Think Tank Analyst is making strange sensational claims! how about that.

The USAF can talk about how in exercises the F-35 is literally stomping over any other 4th gen fighter because

A. Their trainers are trained by actual Su-30 jets they procured and they have been simulating adversary tactics for nearly 50 years.

B. Their aircraft were deployed in combat and have since the 70’s pretty much defeated every other jet and air defense system to boot; a track record exists for it whatever the scenario.

However, when you do boast of a raptor of the east and so on but then get shot down or run away despite training every other year(RSAF visits) with the exact aircraft you went up against; the conclusion does come in that you are incompetent.
Maybe not every pilot, not every leader, but whoever was in charge that day and flying that day - even though they were aware of a response and should supposedly have their best in the air(if they did not then again its leadership incompetence) were found to be incompetent.

The Rafale is truly a game changer in terms of the systems and training it brings to the neighborhood. But it is useless unless everyone from the pilots to the leadership employing it both knows how and where to use it to its maximum potential. If the former ring true, a flight of 16 Rafale’s can do debilitating damage to the PAF in one mission both in the air and on the ground.

Whats wrong with that? Lets take it lock stock and barrel.

PAF can say goodbye to F-16s for good if that happens. You can also be sure that Pakistan wanting to diversify it's military acquisitions (which I think is just an excuse to get charity from the US) will be no longer be a choice for Pakistan.

Basically, PAF and PLAAF will be integrated so much like 2 NATO countries that there'll be no room for outsiders.

PAF will not and cannot say goodbye to F-16's till there is a proper platform to take over the Primary Role of F-16's.

Please avoid making such statements and be aware of 4th generation Airforce operational tactics.

The fighting falcon and our training is the reason why IAF is a Bitch

PAF will have to be satisfied with the reliability of the J-10’s engine, before considering a purchase. Some efforts will also need to be made to reduce the RCS of the J-10 and add the best Avionics, AESA, EW (including towed decoy), and weapons China will allow to be exported.

It would have to do all this; basically match the capabilities of the F-16 Block 72, for the PAF to finally close the door on the F-16 saga.

The added benefit would definitely be the possibility of J-10 being available for “loan” to the PAF in the event of war, or the possibility for the PAF to purchase more J-10s, or even move on from making the JF-17 Block III (after the planned 50 are completed) to producing the J-10; we still have hundreds of Mirages and F-7s that need to be replaced soon. A huge consideration would be cost for the whole project and the risk of getting sidelined from Project AZM.

Politically, procuring the J-10 would signally Pakistan moving deeper into the Chinese camp. The next 2 months will tell if Biden tries to mend relations with Pakistan, and agree to a sale of Block 72 F-16s, or ignores Pakistan’s defensive needs and therefore leaves Pakistan with no other option.

Hi,

Paf has handled worst engines than the J10 engine---. So---if Paf is saaying so---it is an excuse.

As for F35---an average F-35 pilots will smash all 4th gen aircraft to kingdom come---and that is by default of the technology and the capabilities of that aircraft to where it has been developed to this date.

The 5th gen are in a league of their own---.

As for the indians claiming their aircraft to do something special---yes they can---they set up Paf for feb 27th---the setup was to gain access to the Rafale without a public outcry---so they succeeded in their endeavor---. They made their starving public want it bad and they succeeded at it in 24 hours where others could not do it for over a decade.
