Pakistan army had begun test on MBT 3000

.
Two rumors about MBT-3000:
1. several years ago, the officer from Pakistan Army asked for type 99A, but the guys from NORINCO took him to MBT-3000 and told him:" this is what you want and we can supply"
2. since prototype of MBT-3000 is being tested in Pakistan, the MBT-3000 sent to Zhuhai Air Show is actually a pre-prototype one and has been used badly - specifically speaking, it is a broken one. :-)

we are thankful for Chinese support in defense field

I hate the idea of one nation depending totaly or partialy on other nation as it is will keep the dependent country in a second grade nation plus it is a test bed for the supplier.

for Pakistan it should quit this habit and start build something from scratch this is not suppose to be armament it could be cars electronics and small to medium advanced stuff until they reach the high level even if that would happen within 20-30 years but finaly it will be self suffecient.

Pakistan would like to test the new Chinese MBT-3000 VT4 main battle tank, could be the new NG MBT Haider.

According to Kanwa Defense Review, Pakistan is looking forward to testing the new MBT-3000 (also called VT4 for the export version) main battle tank designed by China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO) based in Beijing. According NORINCO, the MBT-3000 is the latest technology of main battle tank especially designed to meet the challenge of high-tech warfare.

New Chinese-Russia made MBT-3000 VT4 main battle tank

Unlike the older AL-Khalid or MBT-2000, the MBT-3000 is motorized with a 1300 horsepower diesel engine manufactured in China. This is slightly more powerful than the engine currently used by the Type 99G, the most advanced main battle tank used by the People's Liberation Army, with 1280hp. The MBT-3000 developed for the overseas market is indeed the most powerful tank made in China.

The main armament of the MBT-3000 consists of smoothbore gun fitted with a thermal sleeve and fume extractor. It is fed by an automatic loader which holds a total of 22 projectiles and charges which can be loaded at the rate of eight per minute. In addition, the tank is equipped with a set of guided weapons, allowing use of a guided missile with a range of up to 5 km.

The turret is in the centre and is of all-welded steel armour construction to which a layer of composite armour has been added over the frontal arc. To increase the body side protection, the MBT-3000 can be fitted with with explosive reactive armour (ERA). Stowage baskets are mounted to the rear and each side of the turret.

The MBT-3000 is equipped with a stabilised fire control including second-generation cooled thermal imager sights for the commander and gunner. The tank is also fitted with laser range finder.

you have started to produce JF17 on your own bro, just give some patience .

MBT-3000 should replace all the Al-Zarar line, Type-69 and Type-85, around 1,400 tanks. Combine that with Al-Khalid and maybe a version of Altay, we could be looking at one of the most powerful tank fleets in the world.

Again, great thanks to our brother China. I hope our ties continue for eras to come.

You know "made" and "assembled" are not synonymous, do you?

Not even a single nut and bolt of Su 30mki is made in India ?
False.
Engine is "made" in India and there are many other components too...

Why are you trying to make fun of yourself here.70 % of Su 30MKI is already made in India. And it is even overhauled in HAL facility. What about JF 17? LOL its engines are directly imported from Russia...You all are good at paintjobs only.

Instead of knocked down kits, India sources raw material from Russia. Making from raw material is 'made' and not 'assembled'.

The reason, it emerges, lies in the nature of the manufacturing contract signed with Sukhoi, which was to see a progressive enhancement of Indian content through four phases. Yet, even though Phase IV has recently been achieved, this provides for only limited indigenisation. While Sukhoi was bound to transfer technology for building the fighter, the contract mandates that all raw materials - including titanium blocks and forgings, aluminium and steel plates, etc - must be sourced from Russia.

This means that, of the 43,000 items that go into the Sukhoi-30MKI, some 5,800 consist of large metal plates, castings and forgings that must contractually be provided by Russia. HAL then transforms the raw material into aircraft components, using the manufacturing technology transferred by Sukhoi.

Unfortunately it doesn't helps much with cost cutting!

I know the difference mate.HAL "makes" the parts in India. It imports titanium blocks and some other parts from russia.A grand total of 70% SU 30MKI is "made" in India. The rest has to be imported

You were simply wearing "hate india" glasses. If you have time, just google "HAL Koraput engine division".All sorts of Russian engines are "made" there. There are no knockdown kits, simply the parts are "made" from raw materials.

.
MBT 3000??? Highly Unlikely as a front line tank but can be chosen to fill up gap created but less quantity of T-80UD Otherwise a lighter modern 3 rd generation tank pronouncement plans can be digested as a second line of defence to replace T-55s andAl-Zarrar....
