MAIN BATTLE TANKS IN ASIA | Asian Defence News Articles | Defence Review Asia
norinco mbt2000, HIT Alkhalid, world of diffefence between the two, go through info pool if interested in info or stop trolling.
HIT Al Khalid (MBT 2000) - Main Battle Tank - History, Specs and Pictures - Military Tanks, Vehicles and Artillery
96G is the last revamption of 2nd generation mbts. 90II was the first attempt towards a third gen mbt, HIT partnered for 90II, while pla went further for 98/ 99 series.MBT3000 is somewhere between Type99G and T96G, more closer to Type 99G.
Your Al Khalid is repainted MBT 2000. Your Al Khalid II/ Haider would be repainted MBT 3000.
How can MBT series kill Khalid? Instead without MBT 2000/3000 there would be no Khalid.
LoL, I like your deep jealousy as can be seen from an Indian suffering from severe inferiority complex & insecurity that it fails to recognize other countries efforts. MBT Al Khalid is repainted MbT 2000, hahaha, here it is:
-MBT 2000 has chinese engine, while Al Khalid has Ukranian 60-TB2 Diesel engine, a key main difference.
-AK has Pakistani built 125mm gun, while MBT 2000 is Chinese, AKs command and control system is all Pakistani, called Rehbar System, while Mbt 2000 is Chinese.
-AK takes lot of input from it T80 & T85 Ukrainian tanks.
-The production Al-Khalid tank has a fire-control system of western origin while in MBT 2000, the Chinese Norinco fire-control system has inputs from ten Chinese-Russian sensors.
-Ukrainian Varta electro-optical jammer rather than anything Chinese.
-Al-Khalid also fires a Pakistani DU round, the Naiza 125 mm DU round (armour penetration: 550 mm in RHA at 2 km).
-"Integrated Battlefield Management System" (IBMS), named 'Rehbar' is made in Pakistan too, developed domestically by HIT and CARE (Centre for Advanced Research in Engineering).
You should have atleast read this whole thread carefully : Al-Khalid tank (Type 90-IIM / MBT-2000) Information Pool before making your full of ignorance comments...and to completely shut ur mouth permanently, the T90-II was a failed NORINCO Chinese tank project, which Pakistan bought under liecnce and restart the AK project from the initial base, it has to spend millions of dollars on its research and development till today to make AK, AK I.
And like I said AK II is not equal to Haider tank series, Haider if mbt 3000 is the one will all new tank features and complete change, but rather am hoping that NG-MBT Haider team to look at Western-German, Russian tanks also.
Even by your own admission, Al-Khalid is a copy of MBT 2000 ,whom you are calling a failed project. That was my point to the poster @Imran Khan. Without MBT series, there would be no Khalid.
So relationship between Al-Khalid and MBT 2000 is same as relationship between Sukhoi 30 and Sukhoi 30MKI.

Actually, MBT 2000 is copied from T90-II, and T90s are copied from T85s, T80s and T80s copied from T72s and T72 from T69/59s and T59s from T34s. Haha..
absolutely wrong
Alkhalid is a joint venture between HIT and Norinco, pakistan hasthe right to sell it, india cant do the same with su-30mki which is exclusively a Sukhoi product customized for indian requirements.
Type 90-II is copied from T-54. Genology of MBT 2000 that you have given is fake.
HIT Al Khalid (MBT 2000) - Main Battle Tank - History, Specs and Pictures - Military Tanks, Vehicles and Artillery
Technologically it is equivalent.Sukhoi 30MKI also uses host of Indian, Israeli, and French systems on Russian Airframe + Engines,China sold complete design to Pakistan so Pakistan could sell it to other countries.
India would have right to sell FGFA/PAK-FA since it is equal equity partner in that project.
so now FGFA comes in discussion after mki fail.
stay on topic.
there is none between the two.Don't you get the concept of equivalence?
Al Khalid was initally MBT-2000 but later massive changes were done and now its different from MBT 2000 as for new upcoming AL KHALID 1 its completely different from MBT-3000Your Al Khalid is repainted MBT 2000. Your Al Khalid II/ Haider would be repainted MBT 3000.

Why are you trying to make fun of yourself here.70 % of Su 30MKI is already made in India. And it is even overhauled in HAL facility. What about JF 17? LOL its engines are directly imported from Russia...You all are good at paintjobs only.LoL, you are telling me from a Western source, who know nothing about MBT 2000, T-90IIs, or Al Khalid tank series....I know ppl working on our tank projects. T-90II takes inspiration from T-72 series actually only in shape. But T90IIs, & successfully exported MBT 2000 of China/Pakistan has had complete radical changes. So AK / T-90IIs built by Pak-China, gave the name MBT 2000 to export customers.
FGFA is a failed project and not on par to Indian expectations as IAF remarked, and it is not even under final production, so as Indians always do start future projections of no use in present, no need to compare unconfirmed projects.
And Su 30 MKI, India had to pay even a single cent of money to Russia from top to bottom till today, even now spares are brought from Russia for Su 30 MKI, and India cannot sell it, it has no rights to sell it, it can only assemble it, as it does not even have a single nut & bolt made in India, while AK tank series is total opposite, Pakistan has complete authority to produce and sell it to any customer it wants, rebuilt it as per its needs. So technically or otherwise, there is no comparison in reality.
