Pakistan Army conducts successful test launch of Babur 1B Cruise Missile

This may well be signalling to India as they are deploying S-400s. A heavy long range Barbur strike could take out these SAMs. So may force India to 1) push back it's S-400s thus negating much of their range advantage 2) expend many of theur S-400 missiles taking out Barbus and thus freeing up PAF from the threat
For that PAK army will have to know the exact location of S400s. isn't it?

yesss thats the point you are right we need strong sub sonic missiles . so that we can rain on enemy all over india . with our current baby missiles we can not do it .

is mulk main her cheez molviyoo ki passand ki hi hogi kya ?

Lets have a peace as both of you have got your points. Even at the Eid day of celebration some one will spoil the day. Rome wasn't build overnight so any small step toward improvement in the country defence should be congratulated.
We have got weak economy even in these times of doom and gloom our armed forces have achieved something so it's not a bad thing.
We all love to have the hyper missile but that's for some other day and considering very few countries are even near to having them so lets not have a mega expectations for a while.

they fired missile from ground and missile hit the target on ground then how came beach in middle of it ?:undecided: do we have island being used as target site ?

For example.

Indian sources say that htey have placed S400 in Punjab. with the range going upto 1200km with this cruise missile, i expect the S400 to be nullified with its use,

Babar is expensive system. Military should use EW and decoys to detect and target S 400.
For example: India will use Barak 8 and Akash NG like defence systems with moving armoured formations.
We can send Shahpar 2 to expose their position and then rain F-1 rockets on these defence systems.

For S400 : stealth drones with some limited deep strike capability should be used like RQ 170.

So it basically signals that the S-400 batteries deployed on the Indian side of Punjab could be taken out from almost anywhere within our borders. Gives a hell lot of flexibility and surprise element to us.

Taking off from outside the 600 km radar range and cruising at tree top heights (terrain hugging), and with ground clutter such a radar cross section is almost impossible to detect until the very last. I think it also signals that we are not solely dependent on our fighter jets to take out the S-400. Great signaling indeed!

Babur is expensive, sure. But cheaper than a S-400.
Even 5 Baburs per battery are fired, it's still worth it. Plus because it's a terrain-hugging missile, conventional AD systems have a hard time detecting it, not to mention it can take multiple way points around AD systems because that's what cruise missiles do.

Satellites....

But why not develop a HALE stealth UCAV to target defence systems.Babar is strategic missile for carrying nuclear warheads not to destroy defence systems.
S400 is a mobile system so babar will need continues target info which can be a difficult thing in war situation so all babars will be pre programmed to take out strategic targets only

I still think Stealth HALE UCAV with decoys can prove lethal for S400 until you prove otherwise

Pakistan tests home-grown missile with additional range

ISLAMABAD (AP) — Pakistan’s military test-fired a home-grown Babur cruise missile on Tuesday that has a range of more than 900 kilometers (560 miles), twice the distance of an earlier missile of the same model, a statement said.

The missile’s extended range further enhances nuclear-armed Pakistan’s military capability.

Pakistan and neighbor India, which also has a nuclear arsenal, have a volatile relationship, having fought three wars against each other. The military buildup of both countries is closely watched by a nervous international community as India and Pakistan have come dangerously close to a fourth war at least twice over the last two decades.

The missile, dubbed the Babur Cruise Missile 1B, is domestically developed, said the military statement. An earlier version had the limited capacity to travel just 450 kilometers (280 miles).
