Pakistan test fires 900 km Shaheen 1A successfully

There was a rumour going on about Pakistan testing a 7000 km ICBM named Taimur or something. Anybody know what happened to that project? Will it be tested?

According to former DG SPD, Gen (R) Khalid Kidwai the 2750km Shaheen-3 is far as Pakistan would go. The missile addresses Pakistan's primary objective of covering India in its entirety, including its Andaman and Nicobar islands. There are no strategic or political compulsions that require Pakistan to develop a ballistic missile exceeding the 2750km-3000km range (Gen. Kidwai ruled out 3000km as well and insisted that Shaheen-3 is 2750km). Plus, building an ICBM would be a waste of resources that could instead be better utilised. For a single ICBM we could instead have two or more Shaheen-2 missiles that would efficiently serve the strategic needs of Pakistan. Additionally, Shaheen-3 is also able to reach Israel. So if any active threat spurs up from there we have a missile system to deter them.

I'll never understand the fanboyism over ICBMs when Pakistan has more pressing issues that could use our limited resources. Unless India place its nuclear weapons outside of Shaheen-3 range, there is little incentive for Pakistan to work on ICBMs.

In 2001 a certain country threatened to bomb us back to the stone age. They then bent our Generals over a barrel and used us like a whore constantly shouting at our nation to do more. They bombed our territory whilst our military lied and claimed they carried out the strikes. They killed intelligence agents in broad daylight, attacked our military checkposts and then ever refused to pay for services.

The same country quietly sits in the white House and moans like a b1txh when little Kim disobeys them. The reason? ICBMs.

US has far bigger headaches to deal with than Pakistan, North Korea being one of them.

It hasn't always been the case.

Like you I don't think they are a priority, weapons like that require you to carry a heavy burden. We must be self sufficient before we can risk sanctions and threats from world powers for daring to sit at the same table.

However none of us should ever forget what happened and why. If you are not strong enough to face any enemy, at some point someone will take advantage of you.

The only worldly possessions the Prophet Muhammad pbuh owned was his weapons.

One could argue that attacking North Korea is crossing the RED line of China.

ICBM is a myth. More to do with China using North Korea as a buffer state.

Also, the kind of sanctions that North Korea has, Pakistan would be devastated

If the missile use Beido then its something to look forward to, if not then it could be just a regular test, As for Ababeel the project has been compromised in worse way possible, maybe and just maybe US has pressured Pakistan into backing down from it and America has Power/Influence to do it specially when they can break into Pakistan's strategic command/Scientists, Honestly I believe Ababeel is a dead project but I can be wrong or maybe Pakistan will test it once or twice just to show that the project is still alive in some ways.

I think the next breakthroughs worth listening for are:
  • announcements re: new rocket technology in the Shaheen 2 and Shaheen 3 (e.g., Shaheen 3A)
  • improvements in terminal warheads (e.g., atmospheric maneuvering)
  • induction of a new SRBM similar to Iskander
  • satellite launch vehicles (SLV)

Human development index kab climb kar rahay hay? Ya yahi missile dekh dekh kay khush hona hay? Buhat missile ban gaye anay walay generation kay liyay aik developed pakistan choro.

Aur agar missile banana hee hay tho local naam khatam hgaye hay jo arbo aur afghan kay badshaho kay naam raj rahay ho?

Lol, stop getting cucked by indian propaganda mate. Abdali was born in Pakistan (Multan). He was a Pashtoon...largest number of which live in Pakistan. How tf is that 'foreign'? There was no concept of "nation states" back in those days. Wars were fought against tribal and religious lines....and since Abdali, Ghaznavi etc were Muslims fighting against Hindu tryants--they are our heroes. Full stop. Only an idiot would think that the general who essentially saved subcontinental Islam from a pan-Hindutva sarkar of Marathas is not a hero to us because he is a "foreigner" (a concept that didnt even exist back in those days as you understand it)

Have you heard of Indian/Turkish/Chinese missiles being named after invaders?

Why should a muslim invader be a hero by default?alot of them looted towns , raped women and killed thousands of people.

Muslim ummah say baher niklo there is no such thing. Woh pechay 2 laatay martay hay tm log abhi bi arbo aur turko kay pechay lagay huway ho

when you look at figures like ghaznavi and ghauri - these are the figures that have in some ways forged the currenty identity of pakistanis

if look back at such people - who would you say are the heirs of their kingdoms today? in many ways pakistan is the successor to these dynasties of the past millennia

Really, concerned why Abbabeel is never tested again. It looks some external pressure has stopped such testing. I dont think it is compromised but delayed.
The missile is definitely has much longer range than the range mentioned 2200 KM.
Re-enter Technology and longer range may have created concerned .

haati kay daanth dikha nay aur, khaanay kay aur.

they only wanted to give the world a preview to induce cramps & diarrhea in our bordering eastern neighbor & a certain nonbordering western nonneighbor that thinks too highly of itself. more tests will be done when the time is right. have faith.

Indus valley civilization has its own unique history and we have nothing to do with central asians or turks or arab
