‘Pained’ to learn that Manmohan did not vote: Modi

It's actually a crazy idea originating from people who are too lazy/ disinterested to vote anyways. This is the "none of the above" idea. Since none of the above cannot represent the people in Parliament/assembly, all that this does is to waste money conducting reelections. The silly assumption is that a candidate appealing to this particular lot would also appeal to others(the one voting presently). What if that doesn't happen & you can never gain a consensus? Would you keep voting & wasting taxpayers money for all the 5 years & then repeat the process for the next house?

So how is it different from null voting. Or rather staying home and watching TV.

it is different in the sense that in case of sitting at home watching tv, some politician who is 10th pass, has been indulged in corruption, has few murder or rape charges(not proven as usual) or his child like in case of amarmadi tripathi, would be winning the elections due to lack of options and will again loot our nation. but on the other case people will force the parties to give ticket to a learned and honest man.

Still an unconvincing argument. The vast majority of the people are not 10th pass. Doesn't mean you can disenfranchise them? Why stop at preventing them from running, why not use the same argument and say that they are not capable of making the correct decision & therefore shouldn't have the right to vote in the first place.? Sometimes it is funny how all the people prejudiced against candidates from lower backgrounds all end up rooting for a former army driver(Anna Hazare).

This Waste of taxpayers money would definetely be less than those multi million dollar scams, right? this would definetely be less than the pain the family has to go through see the bahubali who killed their son is elected to parliament instead of being behind the bars..!
