I was refering to the people English Goras took as labor when they were ruling undivided India as the ancestors of today's citizens of India and Pak

The Human Migration theory applies to a period 1000's of years before that..

Those people the British ruled, and the British themselves, had a common ancestor.

How long ago it happened does not change that fact.

however, wasim akram can still be the coach of kolkata knight riders! secondly ALL and i mean ALL pakistani players being ignored is just racism! players like Umar Akmal who is an upcoming star! so please spare us the BULL s**T about no racism! & visa issues!

india doesn't want AMAAN KI ASHAAAA THE WORLD HAS SEEN THE COMMON INDIAN MEN's true colours!

Since when is Times of India controlled by Pakistanis?? Since you claim we Indians don't want 'aman ki asha'.

Racism? I thiink not:
Pak players get India visa but not Modi’s IPL nod

Four Pakistan players with existing Indian Premier League (IPL) contracts were granted visas by the Indian government on Thursday but the League’s commissioner Lalit Modi said they could still not play in the tournament’s third season next March because they had missed the December 7 deadline to submit documents.

The players in question are Sohail Tanvir and Kamran Akmal of Rajasthan Royals, Umar Gul of Kolkata Knight Riders and Misbah-ul-Haq of Bangalore Royal Challengers. Gul, Misbah and Akmal were granted visas by the Indian High Commission in New Zealand, where they are currently doing Test duty, and Tanvir by the Indian mission in Islamabad. The status of Abdul Razzaq, who had reportedly signed with the Kolkata franchise, is still unclear.

“A deadline is a deadline whether it is by a couple of hours or couple of days,” Modi said. “Our trading finalisation window closed two days ago, and yesterday all the teams were required to submit their replacement strategy for players who weren’t part of IPL III,” he said, not budging from the stand he had taken two days ago when he announced that no Pakistan player would be part of the next event.

Just because they agreed to participate in 'Aman ki Asha' does not mean much - the content they publish and the tenor of their editorials will establish their true views.
Note that the Visa's were held back until it was too late, and the ToI article I posted argued that 'unofficial signals' had been sent as to what line of approach should be taken in the auction.

There is little question at this point that this was all deliberate, and done by the GoI and IPL figures.

 how funny; as if Pakistanis are any better in Abu Dabhi.
Don't need to make stupid satires.

So back to IPL.
Why do you call it racism? Your Pakistani players didn't get their visas in time---all this drama that happened a month back. The IPL Teams don't want to risk LOOSING their money on these players.

What about the previous IPL where the players were CHOSEN, but they failed to :blah: :blah: this year.

Did you look at Afridi's record in these previous games? What jack has been doing recently?

Kamran Akmal?

Muhammad Asif, I would consider.... he is the ONLY one I'd pick, to be truthful.

Mohammad Yousuf isn't doing that great either..... like these past tests in australia :azn:

So what are you people calling racism etc for? This is 'sports'. If we were racist, our government would've denied visas to your players LAST IPL itself, and Indian teams wouldn't have chosen those Pak players during the last one. :cheesy:

Well if you go through my comments I have never even used the word racism..I am not even bothered as why Pakistanis were not choosen, infact I am more than happy with this treatment as this is a real eye opener for the nation and for the greedy players who always prefer money over national duty.

I even failed to understand as what my fellow countrymen are moaning for. Didnt watch the last two IPLs and have no plans to watch the next one...not even bothered.

The problem with Indians is that they cant swallow the fact that we are T20 champions which they could not achoeve after so much hype and propaganda by the Indian media but as usual the bubble was busted, same thing happened in champions trophy (atleast we reach the semi final).:coffee:

IPL: Pakistani sports minister telephones Indian counterpart

Islamabad, Jan 19 (IANS) Disappointed over 11 Pakistani cricketers being ignored at the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, Sports Minister Ejaz Jhakhrani Tuesday telephoned his Indian counterpart to lodge a protest but was informed that the government did not have a say in the matter.

Quoting sources, Online news agency said that Jhakhrani told Gill that it was 'utterly disappointing that not a single Pakistani was auctioned for the cash lucrative IPL', adding that 'such decisions in the field of sports are contradictory and hard to understand'.

On his part, Gill made it clear to Jhakhrani that the Indian sports ministry had nothing to do with the IPL and that since it was a commercial venture, the government couldn't interfere in the matter.

Talking to Online, Jhakhrani confirmed that he contacted his Indian counterpart and 'shared his reservations with him thick and thin on the IPL thorny matter'.

The sports ministry would review the non-inclusion of Pakistani players 'seriously and methodically', he added.

The GOI should ask for a dossier of credible proofs from GOP that the exclusion was politically motivated:azn:;)

 This is bad. Terrorism aside, Politics aside, Pakistani players should have been included!!! Lets face it, Pakistan cricket is struggling with no games at home, no world cup matches. This would have been a good gesture if we had extended a hand. Opportunity lost! Would have loved to see some Pakistani players in the IPL teams.

Just saw Priti Zinta's interview in Sportcentre ESPN..According to her bidding star players and after that they were not avilable for playing will make team dependent on some players and will increase the pressure on that particular player..

Remember players like Sarwan also not got a chance in auction too..most of the players autioned today are not in playing 11 of the countries they represent..and its just for one year contract..That may be teams didnt bid for Pakistan players..may be they want to make sure the availability of players

From CricInfo;

"However, the inclusion of Pakistani players in the IPL's final auction list, released on January 6, was on the basis of specific requests received from the franchises - every player on that list had to be officially sought by at least one franchise. It is not clear what changed in the franchises' thinking within two weeks."

Your (or Preity's) argument does not fly given the above.

. .
Hard not to talk about politics when the GoI and IPL introduce it into sports.

Agno it has nothing to do with politics..The teams are owned by Corporate houses and individuls..in the they will looking for profits and invest only on those who they will gain something..If the autioned a Pakistan player and he is not available for playing then the teams will suffer..its only business decision..take a look at the players autioned most of them are not in playing 11 of the respective countries they represent..
