I was talking about the AC mentioned in the article.

Has it dawned on you that 70% to 80% cost of the ACC has already been spent? you think India cannot afford another 20% of the cost? Do you by any chance know what's India's defense budget - also do you know that there are presently 70 - 80 warships under construction in all our shipyards?

Like some Indian said earlier....India need it because of China but Pakistan doesn't need one since India is just next door.

Doesn`t matter what some member might have said. The role of AC is power projection at distance, as defined and used by navies all over. For sure PN would love to target some distant Indian site, thus putting pressure on different spots. Otherwise China is next door to India too, and a larger border than it shares with Pakistan. How does a carrier helps?

India would not and probably cant get the AC close to Beijing and Shanghai. This is not even the purpose. Naval blockade seems more tangible. What good getting close to Beijing and Shanghai do anyway?

Anyways, you do agree that Carriers are for power projection away from mainland?
