hi dear members,
we(family) r planning to buy a new car with a budget upto 700000INR(max).........
we r interested in buying a petrol car....not going for diesel one as we dnt used car daily......(nd my dad will get 35 lt petrol per month from govt for free...if he buys a petrol version)
so want ur reviews for the following cars......
1 ford eco sport
2 maruti sukzuki swift/swift dzire
3 hundai i20
4 volkswagen polo

guys want ur review on basis of internal nd external looks, performance nd servicing nd average doesnt matter as they are all aove 14kmpl
ps : i'm already in love with eco sport but just taking last review! if u want u can add a car within same 700000INR budget thnx in advance

Friend you must not buy car based on what other like or suggest. All cars of today have certain level of technological maturity and most of time these performs wel. I've noticed that you've already in love with Eco sport. If you are not very technical geek go with what you like (looks)...go for it.

In my opinion... you are looking at cars based on price tag not by type of car. All of tehm are good jsut pay attention to following points...

1. Maruti Swift - Good car, excellent track record with best service network all across India with dirt cheap Maintenance cost
2. Hundai i20 - Very good car excellent performance. Relatively good service network and spares availability. Maintenance & spares cost is bit on higher side
3. Ford Eco sport - Looks good. I've test drove it and feels good while driving. Keep in mind Ford cars usually more expansive to maintain and service network is not as good as Maruti and Hundai
4. VW Polo - nice looking car with good performance. German car with solid build visible in looks. Maintenance is expansive, service network not so good and there were lots of complaints lately about service quality and over are maintainability.

If you are keen ..there are three more options ....
Toyota Etois - Good car with unmatched Toyota quality
Honda Jazz - Beautiful car and most practical car in it's segment - almost no maintenance cost
Honda Amaze- Nice and spacious car with Honda quality

PS: Honda and Toyota offers most reliable cars in India. People in hilly area in India always says If it's Honda or Toyota it will run

the th cars u mentioned are not added in my list cuz
etios:.talked with local tyota engineer.....he said liva nd etios have to rear rod bt two tyre hollow so requires replacement after year
honda jazz: production stopped
honda amaza: not available in petrol only in diesl!!

awesome to drive.. actually his is the ecoboost petrol engine,which won engine of the year award last year, and top of the line titanium model..
go for it man..

and it is the launch colour,the orangish one-mars red.. looks awesome..

without the real wheel,ya,it looks a big hatch.. actually,the ford fusion was also basically an outgrown hatchback.. imagine it with a rear wheel,and it becomes a compact suv,like the ecosport.

even i am a feature going person..i wouldnt go for the starting model of any car..
the second model-trend looks good enough though..
i remember,my father was going for the base fiesta,but i convinced him to for the second(of the three) model
