To tell you the truth, ajtr can never speak Punjabi. Ever.

She should opt for Mandarin instead.

Most of my Punjabi Cousins (Mama's a Rajput) can't speak Punjabi except one family who made it a matter of honor to continue conversing in the language from Grandma to Granddaughter...such a sad thing*
