Yara you worry too much about universities! Don't over think it. If your BSc degree is shitty get an MBA finance from a good one and no one will ask you about the BSc. Who cares, you are good at stuff. I can guarantee you that, you'll land a good job. You write pretty good, can you converse in a similar manner? How sharp are you at casual chit chat????

I made a mistake...a huge mistake & no matter what I do I can't bring myself to even sit through an accounting lecture never mind actually like it & be good at it !

I love our Finance & Management & Business Analysis lectures but the accounting (Financial Accounting) was hell on earth for me ! I need to break out of that & thats why I'm thinking :

Hey I've got a BSc (Hon) in Applied Accounting from OBU (not a great university but certainly way better than LUMS in terms of ranking) so why not go for an MSc in some relevant degree instead that helps me build upon my love for the FOREX instead of trying my luck forcefully shoving accounting down my throat that I've failed miserably at so far.

Those are not Pukhtoons.... MOST are Tajiks and Uzbeks who speak Pushto, just like rest of Afghanistan... :hitwall:

What would you call the following lady her name is Zebunnisa Bangash ?

Yeah, I know..... I am very diplomatic..... :D

Telling that you cant differentiate between chinese, japanese and korean is quite insulting, never tell them on their face.
Even as joke.
Also never say.. 'how do mothers pick their kids from school'.. like I did. :)

You are quite right. Bangash family is one of the very few families who have those features.... not all of them... but many ....

Would it be totally reprehensible in terms of stereotyping if after I said the above quoted line of yours I was to run hard and fast screaming at them "not to kung-fu my a@#!" ? :partay:

@arp2041 Thanks for your Thanks too. :D

Oh the BSc isn't sh*tty...granted that Oxford Brookes isn't a world beater but it isn't a sh*tty university ! :cray:

Nah mate I'm just gonna use it to get one foot in the door & thats as far as its utility goes - To get into a Graduate program based on that & hopefully a high enough GRE score ! And its very well recognized so I don't have that much worry on that end whether they'd even consider it or not.

What I'm essentially saying is that - What qualification would do one of two things for me :

(a) enhance my FOREX know-how so that I become an 'expert' or 'specialist' at this as opposed to someone who goes about reading off the internet & consulting half a dozen books every now & then ! What would groom me as a proper, cultured & expert FOREX TRADER ?

(b) where can I end up as a FOREX EXPERT solely, as opposed to someone who has that in an extended financial skill repertoire !

And I think I'm a decent conversationalist & more or less just the way I am as on PDF !

Well do I have to do so ? Its about being at extremes, the best or worst.

Being the worst without getting kicked out is an art. :chilli:

Its easy to be good, damn hard to be bad. :drag:

Yara EVERYONE I know in all TOP firms, dealing with FOREX have little to zero on academic front. It's more of a "instinct" job. Now the thing is that you like forex... now how to land a forex job is a different question all together. For that you'd need an MBA in Finance from an amazing institute (not that it matters AT ALL.... they teach you NOTHING.... if you ask me, it's a pile of shi*). However, the diploma gets you that first interview... Rest of it is all the "feel" factor in the FOREX world, no one and no book on earth can teach you anything about it. Just remember you should know basics of financial risk modeling, hedging, know how about and how to follow different commodities, and then you will slowly become aware of this bigger canvas that you'll draw in your mind, where everything will be connected and will relate to one another... when you feel that you have reached that point, that's where you will leave your high paying job and jump into the market on your own. On this journey, if you are good at writing code *from scratch using efficient languages*, probabilistic models, excellent at using super computers for simulating your financial and risk models and can relate intimately to those variables in your equations, you'll end up making a big pile of cash....

Oh the BSc isn't sh*tty...granted that Oxford Brookes isn't a world beater but it isn't a sh*tty university ! :cray:
