Mohammad attends graduation ceremony of cadet pilot officers
He says the UAE has established solid foundations in sophisticated military construction

General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces confirmed that the UAE, led by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has established solid foundations in sophisticated military construction made up of trained cadres that are scientifically and technically qualified in all weapons and military equipment fields.

This came during the 44th graduation ceremony of Cadet Pilot officers and the eleventh course of air faculty cadet officers at Khalifa Bin Zayed Air College in Al Ain, in addition to the fourth female course and second course of air support officers attended by Shaikh Mohammad.

The ceremony began with the arrival of Shaikh Mohammad, where he was received by Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Major General pilot Ebrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence, Brigadier General pilot Sami Saeed Salem Al Nuaimi, Commander of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Air College and a number of senior officials.

The national anthem was played and then Shaikh Mohammad accompanied by Brig Gen Al Nuaimi, inspected the graduates after which verses from the Quran were read.

In his speech Shaikh Mohammad said that the UAE always seeks to enhance its development march by protecting it with its competent and highly capable armed forces to become the shield that defends all national gains.

He also expressed his great pleasure in attending the graduation ceremony of this new batch of the UAE’s sons and daughters.

A military parade was performed by the graduates in front of the main stage at the graduation field where flanks of air fighters and training aircraft and shipping air support that serves the UAE Air Force took part. The graduates then vowed allegiance in the presence of Shaikh Mohammad to the UAE and its leader.

The event was attended by Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, other shaikhs, ministers, senior military and civilian officials and the families of the graduates.

General Shaikh Mohammed expressed satisfaction with the new group of Emirati men and women participating in the military parade with high morale and skills that reflect their advanced academic and practical training.

General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, emphasised that the UAE, led by the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has laid solid foundations for its advanced military through highly-qualified personnel who receive advanced technical and scientific training in all military services and regarding the use of all military equipment.

General Shaikh Mohammed made these remarks as he attended the 44th graduation ceremony of Cadet Pilot Officers, the 11th course of Air Officers, the fourth course of Female Officers and the second course of Air Support Officers, at Khalifa bin Zayed Air College in Al Ain.

“The UAE seeks to bolster and protect the national process of development and building through armed forces that have the ability and capabilities to serve as a protective shield for national gains,” added General Shaikh Mohammed.

He expressed satisfaction with the new group of Emirati men and women participating in the military parade with high morale and skills that reflect their advanced academic and practical training. This, he noted, demonstrates their high preparedness for playing a role in serving the country and their passion for catching up with their colleagues in the air, land and sea forces who have already had the honour of protecting the nation and its gains and achievements.

General Shaikh Mohammed hailed the training and scientific capabilities of Khalifa bin Zayed Air College and the other military training institutions.

Upon arrival at the college for the graduation ceremony, General Shaikh Mohammed was greeted by Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces; Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Commander of the Air Forces and Air Defence, and Staff Brigadier Sami Saeed Salim Al Nuaimi, Commander of Khalifa bin Zayed Air College.

The ceremony was attended by Shaikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative in the Eastern Region; Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Lt.-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Shaikhs, senior officials, high ranking military commanders, diplomats and the families of the graduates.

The UAE national anthem was played while General Shaikh Mohammed inspected the line of the new graduates, then verses from the Holy Quran were recited.

A squadron of fighters, trainers, transport and air support aircraft of the UAE Armed Forces performed an airshow during the ceremony.

Later, the graduates took oath before General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed and vowed allegiance to the UAE and its president.
