Fraudsters

Actually that would be not advisable. If people start panic buying say four bottles of cooking oil instead of the normal one or two it would create unnecessary shortage for all.
Bulk buying doesn't mean hoarding for month. It means purchase at least one week of basic supplies if you can afford instead of fooling around every day for a pack of detergent then half dozen eggs, then dish wash and so on, Buy all of those in one go. People here have very bad habit of going to market daily to buy small quantities and roam around even though they have plenty of money. Bulk purchase will not create shortage on grocery stores.
I always do that in normal days as well. Buy whole month groceries. And then only Vegetables and Fruits in between.

I agree to most of your post. For example, in my family we buy biscuits we buy in larger quantities because we use up two packs everyday.

But for things like milk, I have seen people doing panic buying. One couple bought up six to eight packs of a brand of milk which if left unopened does not spoil for months. That was unnecessary, yes ??

Left hand should not know what right hand gives.

I think it is a wide Muslim issue in the West. I go to an Arab masjid, they do the same.

You are wrong. I criticized the Corona-ridden Tableegh Jamaatis in India some of whom are in hiding, including I think their leader.

You are the minority. Most Indian Muslims are active in Tableegh, just like BD. Actually I much prefer those types of Indian Muslims, they generally are not racist to Pakistanis.

These moulvis here are all deobandi.

Let's not give Hindu killers more excuses to abuse Islam here though

Not most but yes, many.

And this has been the case only for the last 15 or so years.

My brother, we active Muslims here in Pakistan are mostly Deobandi, as we believe Tableegh is too simple and inefficient to deal with the complicated problems Pakistan has.

Then again, we are an Islamic state where our religious mindset and knowledge has a direct bearing on our government.

Situation is different in a Non-Muslim country, where people are in danger of losing their faith to the broader society.

I know we differ about it, but Tableegh is so important for networking and has so many advantages here in the West. Indeed, in my medical career, my relationships with Tableegh have been very lucrative for me, alhamdulilah.

That I can understand.

Well, I live in a country where Muslims though in large number are a minority. And my understanding of Islam is different to the fashionable understanding of it as been purely a system of prayer, ritual and dress code. You would know this from many of my previous posts.

Then again, we are an Islamic state where our religious mindset and knowledge has a direct bearing on our government.

I will differ with you on this. Pakistan is not actually an Islamic state but more a state where some South Asian Muslim cultural beliefs have been allowed to become state policy.

An Islamic state would be something like Gaddafi's Libya.

Bhai, I would request you to think on this. Also, maybe you have read this thread of mine from 2016. Please re-read it. It is an article by Nadeem Paracha about Socialist activism among Muslims in previous decades. This activism again was due to questioning and dialogue among Muslims for problems and issues of the modern world. The Tableegh Jamaat was not fashionable in past decades.

Can I ask your age ??

let them do what ever, just at the entrance of mosques make it mandatory for people to bring copies of their NIC and sign an affidavit saying that in case they get Covid-19 they will not go to hospital for any treatment and will be thrown in a military operated quarantine zone along with their immediate families. Easiest cleansing of the mindset.

This is a good idea. And use the assets of the tabligi leaders to treat the poor ones

I differ with you here. Our understanding of religion is pretty much the same as Afghan Pukhtoons.

I don't consider us anymore South Asian, we are more looking Westernwards and North now since 1971 reality dawns on us. We are Eurasian.

Closest nations to us culturally are Afghanistan, CARs, and Turks.
