It is unfortunate that they feel a need to display that much military force for their country's anniversary, all the while keeping the 9 dash line, claim on Taiwan, and claim on the Senkaku islands. Just a big giant unprovoked threat.

Now, this is the different between a peace loving country and a warlike one.

A warlike country doesn't need a parade, because they can showcase their weapons by killing thousand of innocent people in a war. While peace loving country use parade to showcase their weapons. Because they don't have any intention to use them. Those weapons are only for deterrent and protect themselves.
