Frankly, I think we had being thinking too much about this whole thing. We are getting some insights from our Indian friends, but the reality is that its still all up in the air and its probably not as much as we think. The fact that the press always refers to these ships as OPV's is already very telling. We've been having too much speculation and having our hopes too high I think.

If the ships were to really being a Kamorta or a derivative of it, as per the original rumors last year, that would be ok, but as just OPV's, I'm not too excited. I think we just need to wait more. There are kind of conflicting rumors and we are thinking too much about this.

We might ended up getting the 75 m OPV (as other sources mentioned earlier) and that would be a crappy ship.

Depends on where these 75m OPVs will be going. If they are for the CG, then those Kamorta/OPV hybrids rumors are for a different order (for the navy). If they are for the Navy, then yeah they are a bit limited. If they are a bigger stretched out version, then it can still be multi-role frigate.

If they are the 75m version, then their fire power will only be similar to the Molniya (KH-35 + AK630).

Oh I forgot the Torpedo. They can become a dedicated 1400ton torpedo boat.

I would hope that they are 2 different programs, but when I asked Rising sun, he said no.

I just asked in another forum to the one that broke the news about the Kamorta ships last year, lets see if I get a better picture.

I would take the torpedo with a grain of salt, I think that was rising sun personal speculation.

Not really, just average factory workers in the Guangzhou - Shenzhen area average $500 (including overtime), so the actual average for the whole population in Shanghai has to be more.

An small ship like that can be ideal for littoral ASW if it has an ok anti sub package, yes like the latest version of the type 56.

Shanghai is a very nice and international city..
People from all over the world come to Shanghai.
People here are nice to everyone. We only look down upon those who behavior badly..
