Kamorta class corvettes for VPN ?

The ordinary people makes $500
If you are working in office, you should get $1000-1500.
If you are experience ones, the salary will go up to $2000-2500

Average income in Shanghai is $500 per month???
So it's just like Type 056. Just buy a seaRAM for the 75m OPV and they will be the same.

Haha I wish I can get a high pay in a low cost place..
Yet places like Shanghai where you can get higher pay usually also have very high living cost..
$830 a month is not a very good life in Shanghai ..
I need to pay for my car, pay for dinner and entertainment, pay for new smart phones..
There are so many things that need to spend the money...
I fear of financial pressure for another kid though I love two kids..

You can raise 1 wife and 1 kid with $830, how good it is!
I envy you!

Wow, you must be middle class or rich men in Vietnam.
You pay 1/3 for kid and wife = 670
1/4 for house loan =500
So you still have 830$ , enough for another girl friend with another kid.
LOL

On topic, OPV for early warning of enemy subs .. that's great.

The nominal salary for these workers are around $300
Yet including the overtime, the actual salary with overtime may reach $600-700
If you are willing to take hard work like construction site worker or express deliver, you can make $1000-1500
Of course it is a hard job..
If you are educated, $800-1500 is usual without overtime..

Not really, just average factory workers in the Guangzhou - Shenzhen area average $500 (including overtime), so the actual average for the whole population in Shanghai has to be more.

I am an engineer...
In Germany engineer should receive much more..
I would say the salary is enough for your living, but not enough for a good life..
The housing price in Shanghai is too high. 4000 USD per square meter..
I have house loan to pay...
Middle class salary, lower class life with house loans
here in germany, fresh graduated engineer starts something with 3,000 euro, then with increasing years experience so about 5,000 euro per month, senior position such as project manger gets more.

housing price varies a lot between regions, starting with 500 euro to 10,000 euro per square meter. in a city such as munich, you pay the higest price, while a city in a nowhere the lowest. a house in munich costs more than 1 million euro on average. with the sum, you can get 20 houses in a less populated city in eastern germany.

foods are cheaper here than in france or italy.

if you have children, the government pays kid money and offers tax cut.

Engineer of what? I am studying electrical engineering, few mine older friends went to Germany with master´s degree and none of them had 3000 euros at start, not even brutto.

When we are already off topic, what are nice coastal or countryside places in SE Asia with low life expenses?

Where are you staying?munich or somewhere?
The Germany has high salary, they make a lot of money from automobile and Machinery industry..

depending on branches you work for (starting salary a year, see table), and where you got your degree and what country come from. eastern european or other countries colleagues get fewer as they lack of negotiating power. Many german IT companies employ engineers from India because they are cheap. if you look for low cost expenses, I can recommend you to go to vietnamese small towns: living and eating like the locals.

@kaku1 One question mate. You had mentioned that the Kamorta / OPV hybrid for Vietnam is based on
the 105 m OPV model developed by GRSE while Rising sun mentioned that it would be based on the
Saryu class OPV which also happens to be 105 meters but its made by GLS. Can you confirm which one is it from your perspective? Thank you mate.

Sorry for my very late reply, one thing Kamotra is not OPV, in VN it always be inducted as Corvette or Frigate. Saryu class and 75 m GSL is.A VLS based ship cant be a OPV.
Still the talks going on of OPV, not of frigates, so chances are low of Kamotra. For that I think $100mn line of credit is too low.

Thank you, that makes sense, it seems like Vietnam change from Kamorta to OPV, unless they are 2 separate programs, but it seems unlikely.

Even $100mil won't be enough to buy 4 GSL 75m OPV (> $50 mil each).

GRSE eyeing to tap export market: CMD | Business Standard News

Press Trust of India | Jamshedpur Aug 30, 2014 05:27 PM IST
India's leading shipyard Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd (GRSE) is now eyeing to tap export market, a top GRSE official said today.

GRSE Chairman and Managing Director Rear Admiral A K Verma said it will be for the first time that GRSE will be exporting an off-shore patrol vessel to Mauritius.

GRSE is all set to export its first consignment to Mauritius by end of this year, Verma said here while speaking in a seminar organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Jamshedpur chapter, on 'Vendor Connect' with focus on Industry Defence linkage.

Talking to reporters here, Verma said four or five more countries are in talk with us but did not elaborate.

Hope for GRSE Kamorta/OPV hybrid orders is maybe still alive?

I didnt asked this question previously, but why the VN didnt ordered Talwar class instead of Sigma?

I think 2 reasons, VN has a long relationship with the Damen shipyard and also because even that Sigma is expensive at $350 million, Talwar is even more expensive at $500 million (I think the last order of 3 from Russia is 1.5 billion).

the warship is equipped with VLS brahmos. does india offer Talwar to vietnam?

I work for a company in heidelberg. yes, salaries are highest in business centres as munich, hamburg, frankfurt or stuttgart.

As Carlosa has already said, probably the cost.

The Sigma hull is pretty nice, but the armaments that VN is supposedly ordering, is quite underwhelming (and expensive).

I think the Kamorta is still a better option for VN than the Talwar.

@Carlosa, I saw a SIPRI report saying that Algeria bought 3 SMART-S MK2 for USD28 million!!!

Not sure if it's for one or three. Still cheap regardless!
