These who live on Iraqi oil at the same time bite the hand that feeds them
Like the arabic saying(if you feed your dog to much he will eat you)
I never supported hafiz al AssadThose are Jordanian Ba'athist's. How is that surprising? Saddam or Iraq never harmed Jordan. The two countries have had close ties always. Even to this day. One of the biggest Iraqi diasporas are found in Jordan.
You support a Ba'ath regime in Syria. Hafiz was no different from Saddam while Al-Assad has topped those 2 compared to the short time period that he has ruled.
Jordan does not depend on Iraqi oil. Besides Palestinians are the biggest fans of Saddam of all people out there. Many of the Ba'ath Party members in Jordan are actually Palestinians.
Besides you just made this thread on the Arab section of the forum.
THE 24TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE IRQAI BOMBING ON ISRAEL
Jordan is a great country and so are Jordanians. A beautiful people and fellow Arabs.
No offence bro but this is a pointless thread.
@Ahmed Jo @BLACKEAGLE @Nishan
Just as you said, Palestinians were and are the biggest supporters of Saddam. This is not to say there aren't any Jordanian ba'athists since I've met such people and I can say they tend to be disloyal to Jordan itself in favor of unrealistic and hopeless pan-arab agendas. Meanwhile, Jordan is supporting the current Iraqi military in its efforts against isis to the best of it's abilities. There are pathetic people in Jordan and Iraq who are trying start tensions between the two but they will fail Jordan Times and also like you said, Jordan does not rely on Iraq for oil as of now. Those are Jordanian Ba'athist's. And not for long too, we are seeing how miserable and ineffective ba'athist leadership is in Syria.Precisely. The Ba'ath ideology is outdated and proved to be a failure. Pan-Arabism in the sense of brotherhood between Arabs as a people and international Arab organization (which are in abundance) have alway existed and will always exist and I believe that ties between the Arab countries will only grow in importance as the region is united by ancient Pre-Islamic history (mainly Semitic), Islamic history, language, culture, politics, geography (continuous landmass from Morocco to Oman) and similar challenges.
In any case the Ba'athist version of Arab cooperation and brotherhood was a failed and unrealistic one. I am glad that Syria is the only Arab country left under this ideology.
Oh, I was not aware of them being disloyal to the Jordanian state. I imagined them being anti-monarchy by virtue of Ba'athist's being socialists. Another ridiculous thing about that ideology. Like all 450 million Arabs share the same political ideology in this case socialism.

Pan-Arabism in the sense of brotherhood between Arabs as a people and international Arab organization (which are in abundance) have always existed and will always exist. Aside from being deeply rooted in most Arabs and their psyche and outlook.

Thanks. Although I have to say, it's a bit weird for me to hear the personification of countries in English even though we do it in Arabic all the time lol. I just call countries "it"What do you mean by that? Please do not forget the humanitarian services , which is indispensable by the way, Jordan has provided to the over 200,000 Palestinian refugees in its border, not to mention the over 600,000 Syrian, and Iraqi refugees that are in Jordan now. It is Jordanian doctors, nurses, medical staff and housing authority that are taking care of this humanitarian emergency. I have all respect for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan -- tho she is not as "large" as some of her immediate neighbors, she has relative peace and safety in her borders. She has a working relationship with Israel , enjoys a prodigious trade relationship with the United States and Japan and the rest of the world community. I pray continuously for the safety, stability of Jordan, and all the Jordanian people. May she always remain a beacon of peace and hope for in an unstable region.
May God Protect Jordan from all harm.
I know them so well because some of my relatives are ba'athists lol. And they are definitely anti-monarchy, they just know how to hide it.Precisely. Very well said, my friend. The title of this thread is misguided; it should say "Baathist celebrate" not Jordanians. When did a small group of people represent the entire Kingdom of Jordan? Sigh.

Probably my rebellious uncle did lol. What Jordan has been doing in terms of hosting not only Syrian but also Iraqi and Palestinian refugees (for decades mind you) despite being a humble economy, having a small population and landmass is admirable. Let alone Jordan's contribution to the UN in terms of peace corpses etc.
Jordanians are a wonderful and beautiful people. Home to many ancient Semitic and ancient Arab civilizations such as the Nabateans etc. The Jordanian Royal Family is also an example to follow in the region. Me being biased or not.
May Allah (swt) bless the Jordanian people and Jordan.
True. I never learnt why certain countries are female and other male.
So I gather that some of them attended this gathering? Anyway ignorant clowns think that Arab countries that have monarchs as head of states will vanish if the monarchy vanishes. That's nonsense. We don't or at least I don't pledge allegiance to Royal families but to the country. Besides monarch or not if he or she is good it does not matter.

Btw, I don't want the monarch to lose all his powers. Otherwise, I don't see the point in keeping one. The king should have some leverage to protect the constitution and the well-being of the country in case corrupt people take control of the government. He should also have influence over the armed forces, in my opinion. What Jordan has been doing in terms of hosting not only Syrian but also Iraqi and Palestinian refugees (for decades mind you) despite being a humble economy, having a small population and landmass is admirable. Jordan has a healthy political climate and the monarch will loose all if not most powers eventually and be a constitutional monarch like in most European states.
KSA, whether a republic or monarchy, will go through the same process eventually.
Haha had things gone differently, you may have been a prince! But things worked out the way they did and I think it's for the best. What Jordan has been doing in terms of hosting not only Syrian but also Iraqi and Palestinian refugees (for decades mind you) despite being a humble economy, having a small population and landmass is admirable. Jordan has a healthy political climate and the monarch will loose all if not most powers eventually and become a fully constitutional monarch like monarchs in most European states.
KSA, whether a republic or monarchy, will go through the same process eventually.
P.S.: I think that I should work form exile to reestablish Hashemite rule in KSA.
May Allah (swt) bless the Jordanian people and Jordan.
