Jordan expels Israeli ambassador

Again:

Visiting a grand mosque like Aqsa is not evil by itself.

--- Unless some one goes Babri on it.

And history shows that Israeli government doesn't want to destroy or damage the mosque, not at this time and not any time soon in future.

All this hatred is due to the historical baggage.

The best thing is to set aside time for Jewish Israelis to come visit the mosque and listen to the sermon of love and tolerance.

Jordan summons Israeli Ambassador over Jerusalem violations

Jordan summons Israeli Ambassador over Jerusalem violations

[5/8/2013 7:54:07 PM]
AMMONNEWS - Jordan's government summoned the Israeli Ambassador on Wednesday after members of the Lower House of Parliament voted unanimously to demand the government expel the ambassador and recall Jordan's Ambassador in Tel Aviv over escalating Israeli violations in occupied Jerusalem.

Interior Minister Hussein Majali and acting foreign minister summoned Israeli Ambassador Daniel Nevo on Wednesday, and expressed Jordan's denunciation and rejection over the storming of dozens of Jewish settlers into Al Aqsa Mosque, attacking worshippers, and preventing Muslim worshippers under the age of 50 from entering the Mosque.

The Minister also voiced rejection of Israel's arrest on Wednesday of Jerusalem's Mufti Mohammad Hussein, who was released later on Wednesday evening.

"Such Israeli actions violate international laws and obstruct peace efforts. As occupying forces, Israel is responsible for preventing such provocations. Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa are a red line," Majali said.

Majali asked Nevo "to convey this message to his government in a very clear way," Petra reported.

The non-binding vote came in response to "Israeli occupation measures at Al-Aqsa mosque" in the Old City, in occupied Jerusalem.

The Lower House of Parliament voted unanimously on Wednesday to ask the government to expel the Israeli Ambassador in Amman, and recall Jordan's ambassador in Tel Aviv in objection of Israeli attacks in occupied Jerusalem.

The vote comes after deliberations Wednesday morning over the latest wave of Israeli violations in in Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories.

Members of Parliament denounced the continued storming of Jewish settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The occupation forces prevented citizens from both genders who are under the age of 50 years from entering the Mosque, yet allowed Jewish settlers to break into Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday, in the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the so called "the reunification of Jerusalem" under the protection of Israeli soldiers and policemen and toured the place.

Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour described the ongoing and escalating attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli forces and settlers as "premeditated and foretells of evil intentions."

Ensour said that the cabinet addressed the Israeli actions in a meeting Wednesday morning, and agreed to direct Jordan's Ambassador in Tel Aviv Walid Obeidat to file an official objection to the Israeli government "as a first measure," followed by resorting to the UN Security Council if matters escalate.

MPs however went further to demand recalling Jordan's ambassador back to Amman and expelling the Israeli ambassador here, voting unanimously on the matter to be formally proposed to the government by the Arab and International Affairs House committee.

Over 25 MPs signed a petition to reconsider the 1994 Wadi Araba Peace Treaty between Jordan and Israel, citing the cause to be the continued Israeli violations in Palestine and voicing Jordan's denunciation.

In their speeches, MPs demanded a "strong response" from the Jordanian government, and called for limiting Israeli air force's use of Jordanian airspace, particularly in light of the recent Israeli airstrike attacks on Damascus.

Look at multiple sources my dear, look at multiple sources.

Here is one of the relatively balanced article is saying

"
The [Israeli] violations in question were restrictions on entry to the Temple Mount plaza imposed by the Israel Police ahead of Jerusalem Day. According to the Palestinian Ma’an news agency, police set up checkpoints to the Temple Mount entrances and “prevented all Palestinian women, and men under 50, from entering.” Normally, restrictions apply only to men under 40, who are seen as more likely to engage in violent behavior.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said Wednesday that Muslim worshipers threw rocks and chairs at tourists visiting the contested site Tuesday. Jordanian media accused the police of permitting “dozens of extremist settlers to storm the holy shrine” as well.

Jewish tourists are permitted to enter, but not pray at, the Temple Mount, and security checkpoints are a standard installation at the entrance of the historic flashpoint.

@FaujHistorian

It's impossible for Jordan to make such a fuss for nothing, it's no Iran.

Seriously? Perceiving breaking into our third holiest mosque, preventing Palestinians from entering it, detaining their Mufti as not disrespect while burning an Israeli flag as one?

Read what I wrote again, respect is earned, speech is free. You can do and behave however you want to, that is your decision to make as a human. My point is that the way people behave affects the way they are treated.

The government will never do it.
If he left he will be back in couple of days of vacation. Otherwise, financial aid will immediately stop by law from US congress. Something Jordan can't afford to happen.

Instead of these silly meaningless votes, the parliament should vote on helping FSA militarily. But the king doesn't want that, which again points to the absurdity of the whole thing.

Many in the Jordan parliament lower house are idiot Islamists.

They are playing on Jordanians' emotions not too different from Be-Hidyatullah Ayatullahs of iran.

The only thing that stops Jordanians' Islamists from taking over is the King, and the ancient and beautiful civilization of the country.

But I worry that Islamists will one day take over and the king and the ancient Jordanian civilization will be thrown out the window like Iranians did to their king and their ancient civilization, and now they are nothing but robots in the hands of Mullahs.

You probably will disagree.

But I tell you how Islamists in lower house did another utterly cruel and $stupid thing when they pardoned a killer of Israeli school kids.

So there you have it.

You know me, I do a bit of home work before posting.

Peace to you my dear peace to you.

It is not just the US financial aid.

Saudi King would do very similar thing and so will the Amirs of gulf.

so let's not throw $hit on Jordanian King. He is a sensible and modern king. I hope he lives a long life and provides an orderly transition to his people from full monarchy to a good and balanced parliamentary system.

This transition will not be easy.

The same thing is true for Saudi King.

for the longest time, I disliked him as I felt he is standing between democratic freedoms and Saudi citizens.

But the current day monarchy is very balanced and careful and leading Saudi Arabia through the change in an orderly manner.

Transition from 100% monarchy to 100 democracy is a long and arduous process.

It can only happen when the citizens fully learn their rights but most importantly their responsibilities towards a democratic country.

And sadly many countries including mine, doesn't yet have that sense of responsibility as a citizen of the country.

so let's respect Jordan's king and let's hope that the Islamists in the parliament (lower house) stop making these $tupid resolutions.

What's with the rant on democracy? My comment was about the silliness of the vote to expel Israeli's ambassador.
The absurd thing is that firstly, the vote would not have been unanimous if the king opposed it, secondly, he won't go through it anyway, so why do it?
This makes the whole thing a joke.

This is not backwardness, this is supposed to humiliate the Zionist entity.ashamed:

Burning flag is primitive tribal thing.

It doesn't "humiliate" powerful countries in the world.

You now are sadly talking like a petty Mullah from Iran.

No one "attacked" the mosque brother.

Even Palestinian news agencies on the spot did not report it.

Just posted it in a post above. Here is the summary.

Jewish-Israeli were celebrating Jerusalem day. And then went to temple mount (and not specifically to the mosque, and they definitely did not attack the mosque. There were clashes between Israeli-Arab extremists).

Please brother do not spread hate, even if it is unintentional.

thank you
