Should we assume it will be sacrificing CIWS for placing RIM 116 type system? The ship offers multitude of options for Maritime operations but have limited space for 'big guns'.

NO idea, but what I can say is that tender for VOTL UAV for these ships are issued

This ship is a good addition with focus on patrolling far waters and providing humanitarian aids across IOR. With added harba and I hope ciws 1130 will provide frigate like punch. Having a multiple role helicopter like z9ec provides anti sub and a uav adds punch to survilance that will be complemented by radars and other avionics. I was hoping to have these boats with 76 mm gun but then again modern 30 mm is also very leathal. Capability to carry 2 seven meters and one 11 meters recoverable boats means this ship can launch upto 40 ssgn assault on any coast supported by long range ssm attack capabilities. If this boat could get modern air defence in addition to 1130 type ciws like 24 cell fl3000n would-be super addition to it's covert and overt capabilities. With 6000nm it can cover almost all of IOR. A capability seriously missing in any pn vessels

Surprisingly low rcs

There is no reason why the Jf17 should not hve a lower RCS than the F16's---.

The F16's have a very large intake right underneath the fuselage and that is a big give away---comparatively---the JF17 has a much sleeker design with intakes on the sides. That makes the front very small---.

DSI hides engine blades making for a very low frontal RCS as most reflections are due moving engine blades and most air to air BVR engagement are head on it matters

2nd Damen Corvette in May 2020 ( according to VCNS of PN ) while 2 Type 054A/P frigates are expected to join PN this year IA while all 4 joining PN till end of 2021 IA .

There is only one module available on the ship which either can house CIWS or FL 3000 type airdefense.
There is a possibility that PN might be installing CIWS in one ship and FL 3000 in other one (if it's really going for FL3000 in first place). And then both ships will operate in different positions in Northern Arabian Sea (one close to Karachi and other close to Gwadar).
Yarmuk class is primarily meant for low intensity threat during peace times. However, due to presnse of Anti ship missiles, it can be employed as anti ship asset against India in case of major crisis.

I always believed PN should buy more medium size ships and development a network enteric warfare. with multiple platforms providing different weapons under joint control. such a arrangement will not only be economical but also disperse our assats which will make them hard to counter attack. pakistan should focus on such ships build more of them and deploy home grown weapons. which will not only be cost effective but will also develop local capabilities.

A 4 level navel set-up is going to b much more effective for pakistan

1 st our attack submarines lurking in deep water and air wing hunting enemy ships.

2 nd land attack subs and large cruise and BM ships ready to attack enemy targets.

3 rd a large flotilla of Medium and small size ship carring missile launcher for anti ship and land attack missile working in network enteric warfare in shallow waters. assisting first 2
4 land based assates.

with a small first and second tire. if we develop 3rd and 4 trie consisting of medium size ships in large numbers we will have a formidable nave.

Leave this idea already. You are unnecessarily dragging this debate over and over again.
Pakistan WILL NOT acquire any such out dated destroyer from China.

If they can get HHQ 9B with 250km range and latest radars than why not

100 meter ships , 4 ready ships , we can equip the Herba and other Local Ammo on the Ships in few months and these would be operational very quickly

Difficult to not consider these

Installing Pakistan's made systems on ship is easier to do

• Installation of Herba missiles (Cruise Missile)
• Installation of Locally made Radar for Ships
• The ships already have existing Air Defences
