JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

Hi,

That aircraft is just a model and not reflective of whatever is gizmo on top of the tail.

That model was an official mock up presented at the Paris Airshow by PAC and AVIC. Although not definitive, it is still a close approximation of where the JF-17B is heading. Besides, the height of the fuselage from the ground really can't be lowered any further.

ps: The tail housing contains the missile air warning sensors (MAWS), a navigational light, an Ultra High Frequency (UHF) communication antenna and two electrostatic energy dispensers.

So far only f7p sqn left are 14th and 18th (OCU). 20 Sqn is F7pg OCU , most probably its 14 (guess) unless Jordanian or other F16s are slotted to be given back to 14

150 , app 20 x7 = 140 plus CCS app 10 a/c eq 150 or 8 sqn

15 radars will imply about the same planes produced for the year:

Windy what would be the combat range of JFT in this configuration? Can it patrol the seas for say 45 minutes?
With an operational range of around 750 miles, a safe sortie of 45 minutes would be possible and with IFR feature installed, should address any such shortcomings.

EW/ECM pod?
my thoughts too. i know it looks nothing like a targeting pod. but whats interesting is the slightly high preasure on the side of the pod 2/3 down the pod which seems to be an intake for power generation

I want to say KG600 but I can't find any good picture of it other than the one you've posted. Doesn't look like the KG300, which is what JF-17 was shown with.
