The bold part is a bit of misinformation.. Its designed by China with financial contribution of PAF in the project. Its assembled in Pakistan.. If I remember right, the target is achieve 70% manufacturing within Pakistan only by 2015.

It's designed by China AND Pakistan (I know Çunts like you find that hard to swallow) and manufacturing of some parts (both airframe and some avionics) is done in Pak and we bought Swedish manufacturing equipment specifically for this purpose.

I'm not normally rude, but trolls like you just piss me off.

Interesting thing to note is that Why JF-17 uses PL5EII is perhaps because it can be fired from wingtip, unlike like PL-9C which does not have this ability and thus usually being carried on under-wing stations

Squadron Leader Muhammad Hussain (Shaheed) was one of the most experienced JF-17 pilots, and the chosen test pilot.

The mishap occurred while No.16 Squadron team was in Dubai for air show, and during the anniversary of the accident this year, the JF-17 team (No.16 I guess) is going to be performing in Chinese Air Show.
WHY DIDNT HE EJECTED

Sarcasm aside, its a chinese designed fighter made per PAF specifications. Currently manufactured in China and assembled in Pakistan using a Russian engine. 70% indigenous production within Pakistan targeted for 2015. Would appreciate if you could post any correction to this backed with some credible sources..Never unhappy to learn something new...

Sarcasm aside we have 4 thread on JF 17 and this troll comment has been discussed atleast 100 times before but again you choose to bring it up.... well we know why but still i'll try to answer for 101st time....

JF 17 indeed was designed in China but only because the whole facility was in China and Pakistani engineers from Pakistan were staying in china the whole time... Now what do you think is better ...two separate facilities where they make a change in design and then sent the blue print to facility in Pakistan and Pakistani engineer have a look at it and then send back approval or disapproval or any comments on it, they read the comments, and send back the blue prints with their comments and this keeps going on over one screw.

OR

Engineers of both countries stay in one country with better facilities and more importantly extra space and do their job standing next to each other. Its not Chinese designed AC its PAK-China joint effort.

Just because the facility was in China doesn't mean whole Aircraft was chinese design. and for credible sources search the threads....we dont have time to call in PAF veterans every time you guys come to troll.

A foreign aircraft as per requirement of other air force is SU 30MKI, Dhruv ( Wait thats a copy), Arjun (wait again a copy) and Bhramos (Russian missile Indian paint) and some other inventory of your army/AF which i dont want to bring as its not related to subject.

I'm really ashamed that Everyone is ripping Najam work without crediting him. Indians and chinese both. Najam please put Najam Khan tag on every poster and for indians, please check JF-17 info pool najam posted his posters a week ago.!

^^ I didnt know it.

Bangladesh navy is manufacturing five patrol crafts in Khulna of BD with China collaborating with BN. This one can be said a BD product with China help. But, JF-17 is different. The point is PAF had no prior experince in designing or manufacturing a plane. JF-17 is rather designed and built by China, but the Pakistan aeronautical engineers and others of different disciplines were in the China factory or design office to learn from the Chinese.

So, JF-17 cannot be said a joint collaboration in its true meaning. Made in Pakistan tag is a far cry. If now a group of Pakistani engineers and technicians start building another plane, not necessarily a heavy plane like JF-17, but any plane, with their past experience with JF-17 and with technical collaboration from China, then this plane will be certainly called a Pakistani plane built with China assistance. China probably had expected Pakistan to do so because it was how they themselves had learned from the Russians.

Without first making a small plane no country has ever built a bigger ones. Pakistan is no exception. However it tries to convince the world about its technological progress with this showcase JF-17, no way the world will ever believe it except a few jamaatis in the Bangladesh sub-forum.

Pakistan overhaul Mirages and has been manufacturing K8 and Mushaq and super mushaq. Now you can say we didn't participate enough in K8s design as their was not enough experience and its true but years of manufacturing of k8s, Mushaq and Super Mushaq and also overhauling of Aircraft give PAC engineers idea what aircraft designing is......So you started your post with wrong info that we didn't manufacture any aircraft before.

Project Sabre II - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pakistan was designing sabre 2 and there are pictures of sabre 2 project which are certainly similar to jft AND super 7 project

beside this the dsi and lerx are paf inputs as well

Thank you for your comment. It hardly matters, its called "Thunder effect"...if you know what I mean:D.

The more people share such info, the more world will know more about JF-17 capability. Every Pakistani on this forum knows that.

Having said that, when somebody removes the watermark, it comes under intellectual copyrights infringement (and it says a lot about that individual's personal integrity and character).

Prasun K. Sengupta

To RAD: Here are the FACTS concerning the two types of cruise missiles & one type of glided bomb in the PAF’s inventory:

2) The H-3 MUPSOW-1 ALCM is about 4.50 metres long, weighs about 850kg, has a 150km-range, houses an imaging infra-red (IIR) terminal seeker, sports twin dorsal air intakes and fixed horizontal and vertical tailfins, and has a rear-mounted turbojet engine, which is a reverse-engineered Turbomeca/Microturbo TRI 60-30 turbojet producing 5.4kN thrust and featuring a 4-stage-axial compressor. The AERO-built MUPSOW-1 comes armed with high-explosive runway-cratering bomblets.

3) The Ra’ad cruise missile, developed under Project H-4 by Kamra-based AERO, is a derivative of the H-3 LACM, the difference here being that instead of the Microturbo-built turbojet, use is made of the China-developed FW41-B turbojet, which is a reverse-engineered TRI 60-30 turbojet. In addition, the Ra’ad uses GPS for terminal guidance, & not IIR sensor.

4) The H-4 powered glide-bomb shown above was never acquired by the PAF. This weapon is actually the Raptor-2D.

5) The H-2, H-3 MUPSOW-1 & H-4 Raptor-2 were all developed between the mid-1980s and early 1990s by Denel Aerospace Systems’ Denel Dynamics Division (formerly Kentron Division).

6) H-3 MUPSOW-1 was reverse-engineered by China & the result is the Ra’ad ALCM.

Then, there are several visual inaccuracies in the visuals above. For instance, when armed with C-802K ASCMs or MAR-1 anti-radiation missiles or H-3 MUPSOW-1, use is also made of an external pod. For the C-802K & MAR-21, this is a DF pod just like the SIVA pod used by Su-30MKI when firing Kh-31A or Kh-31P missiles.

For the H-3 MUPSOW-1, the pod used is a data-link pod (and not the CETC-built KG-300 EW pod) similar to the ‘PGSUS’ pod used by those IAF Mirage 2000s that are armed with PopeyeLite ASMs.

The Su-30MKI & MiG-29UPG both are armed with turbofan-powered Kh-59T ASMs & related data-link pods. As for tactical PGMs, the LT-2 LGB & LS-6 GPS-guided unpowered glide-bomb are carried by the JF-17. But for the LT-2s, laser designation at nighttime is presently done by ground-based manportable laser target designators, since the CETC-built WMD-7 LDP (a reverse-engineered ATLIS-2 LDP) is a daylight-only pod.

As for tactical ARMs, both the upgraded Jaguar IS/DARIN-3s & Tejas Mk1, plus the Mirage 2000UPGs will be armed with MBDA-built ALARMs.
