According to Alan Warns Air Cmdr Rashid Habib while speaking on JF-17 Thunder program said that JF-17 BLK 3 would be oprational by 2021. the production would commence by the end of next year. By then the decision on radar will be made

We were hoping it will fly next year but going to delayed one year which is not unusual .. hopefully it should consider all necessary upgrade to face future threats.

Air Commodore Rashid Habib is among one of first JFT pilots along with Air Commodore Hakim ali .
12 years ago they were sqn leaders how quickly time passes.

Actually there is but unfortunately we dont have money.

He said it will be in production by end of next year, I'm guessing a prototype would have been developed before entering production - so may well see at least the prototype by next year.
