Most probably certain roadblocks have been encountered. It's understandable that PAF will not want to talk about it, who does? Could be engine, could be AESA or any other thing for that matter.

It may be or may not, that Chinese lost interest in it due to lack of our present govt. interest and acknowledgement for their best efforts for defence and economic support,. When we running for US embrace, how could they keep same fast track involvement.
It is only my fear; I have no access to information to the actual cause of this protracted delay beyond one's imagination with complete hush.

I humbly dare to differ from your point of view as far available information is the CPEC project is progressing mainly under Military or related organisations since start. The Chinese may show their apprehensions regarding few acts of any Govt but it is reality that neither current Govt nor future Govt's may sabotage the project. The CPEC is just a minor part of Chinese grand future economic plans it may pick pace at times and may become slow occasionally. It is a mutual beneficial project, people who have some know how of project understand that how much Pak is earning from CPEC even if the economic zones have yet to be established.

On other side JF17 block 3 was pointed out to take time despite media reports as new gadgets may take years to be inducted and become operational. Further there are rumors of certain further capability enhancements in Block three to make it competitive against enhanced threats i.e Rafale being inducted by Indians along with upgrades of existing fighter jets as well as Super Sukhoi project.

The most obvious reasons for delay perhaps are AESA radar, new FBW system and most certain new engine testing.

However as per pent house pirate comments the facts showing different picture as Mr IK claimed most of former Govt high ranks as corrupt however from Hanif Abbasi to KH Saad Rafiq, Rana Sana no one has got any sentence form our courts due to lack of evidence. If someone gives example of NZ case then even in this case the NZ got sentence due to own foolishness and use of extreme tactics by Govt.

On roads there is no Govt especially during Ramzan the price hike as compared to NZ era is at worst, the market cartels are making money in case of food items. The Utility stores or other concessional official suppliers look to be failed to cater journal public needs. People in majority are cursing IK/PTI.

Fellows, you will see Block-3s soon enough, probably towards later half of this year. There are NO PROBLEMS.

You guys see, that is the beauty of getting weapons from Western states particularly the US. Everything is crystal clear as a result of their Freedom of Information that one remains updated that "ok today the contract for FLIR was released....now first aircraft has taken flight" etc etc. So I remember how PDF remained abuzz with all sorts of this treasure coming out 2007 to 2016 until it all went dark. Nevertheless, that's how it is.
Anyhow, I'd say let us all be patient on this. We can only speculate or cite sources that have made something public. Until then its all just discussion discussion but its never bad.
I mean I grew up waiting to see Mirage 2000s in PAF colours, with hundreds of pages going in... so it isn't that bad you know.

Lets just wait and see everything bit by bit. Dec 2019 gave us quite some information on this project so I'm sure the real deal won't be that far away.
